I give this rating because it's was pretty close to perfectly spotless. Yes, it's a motel on the side of a road a few miles from the quaint Skaneatles, there's no granite in the bathroom, no plush duvet, but at appx $100 per night, where are you going to find a truly immaculately kept place like this? No where except... More

If you're looking for a hotel with a Jacuzzi, valet service, and complimentary bottle of Cristal, this may not be your place. If, on the other hand, you're the kind of person who enjoys getting some R&R in quaint rural areas, and just want a clean room, soft bed, and friendly service, I could not recommend Sleepy Hollow more highly.... This is a nice motel just a couple of miles outside the main part of Auburn. We did not know what to expect with this hotel. When we arrived we were greeted and checked in by I believe the owner. Check in was smooth and simple. The rooms were also simple and clean with fantastic retro decor. Comfortable beds, small... More

It is clean, and friendly enough. It doesn't smell like cigarettes or sweat, but it is a motel room, and $135/night is a lot. No AAA, or other discounts given It is well lit, and nothing about it reminds you of it's name. Just a room, at a high price in the middle of nowhere

Just a couple of points for clarifications: The price of rooms vary with day of the week, type and number of people, and is also subject to a state and local tax of 13%. (The price reviewed here included the rate, plus tax.). But thanks for the sniff test, and YES cleanliness is JOB #1 in our establishment ! Yes,... More

This is a very basic, quaint motel. It has definitely seen better days, but the rooms were clean, quiet and the front desk was helpful. Inexpensive places are few and far between in the area. I recommend this motel.

My husband found this motel online and it sounded fine so we booked in for two nights. It's driveways are in need of weeding/repair and that didn't fill me with confidence but the room was clean, welcoming and although a bit dated, it had everything we needed. The bedclothes felt damp but I would blame that on the humidity and... More

The motel has seen better days BUT the room was very, very clean. The manager was nice and helped us out with the local attractions we needed. The room was spacious, the fridge small but worked fine (no freezer, but no problem). The bath fixtures were a bit old fashioned yet they were spotless and did exactly what they should.... More

Stayed here while spending a few days in the Auburn area on business. Motel was immaculately clean and comfortable. Price is very reasonable as well. Have stayed in many much more expensive hotel/motels that had a lot less to offer. Should also mention the shower had very good water pressure (which is a must). Was also impressed by the fact... I found this small country motel through trip advisor recommendations and as it was not too far from Syracuse where I was attending a car show I decided to give it a try. A real 50's - 60's style "old school" Motel, exceptionally clean and everything worked, the owner and his wife are great folks and able to give you... More

I have stayed here several times over the last few years while visiting family in the area, and the owners have always treated me like an old friend. This is a vintage roadside motel, so if you expect anything fancy you will be disappointed. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. And the price is much more reasonable than... More
