The motel is clean and comfortable and very clearly well-maintained. The sleepy Hollow Motel is conveniently located between Auburn and Skaneateles will stay again . Very quiet I think it was more comfortable than the big hotels. What I like just drive your car wright to the door . Didn't not have to wonder what floor you are going to... More

Dear Barbara, thank you for taking the time to share on Trip Advisor, the go to place for savvy traveler's, who are finding out it doesn't take "multiple stories" to find good "down to earth" comfort and convenience. And try finding a garden veranda to enjoy on a high rise ! We shall look forward towards your next visit but... More

As others have noted, the rooms are very clean, the folks at the front desk are very friendly, and you can drive right up to your front door to unpack. Those who are interested in experiencing what it was like to travel in the 1950s and 1960s are encouraged to give this motel a try. It is a great trip... More

Thank you Jeff for taking the time to offer your review. Our senior feedback is certainly very important to us to grow and improve our guest experiences. However, there is some confusion here as your stay with us was for only one night's stay, on Saturday. None-the-less we appreciate your staying with us for that one night and choosing our... More

We arrived very late and the manager was kindly waiting for us to arrive. We found the room clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed. Our only complaint was that price. We didnt have a choice on the weekend that we visited, but I didnt think it was a good value for the price.

Ernest K, Guest Relations Manager at Sleepy Hollow Motel, responded to this review

Dear KMooner, Thank you for your kind patronage and thoughtful observations. With regard to question of price; what may have affected your totaled overall price for that one Saturday night stay on Columbus Day weekend could be the extra people you had all in one room, and also your added pet fee for your dog, thereby generating your room rate... Stay here for a night, EXTREMELY clean! 2 things did not make it an excellent stay: 1 no heat in the bathroom. It was freezing!!! The 2nd thing was the price. I think maybe it was worth 100 to 120 a night. Otherwise, the gentleman at the desk was sweet, the room was super clean and comfy! We would stay... More

A classic American roadside motel. Just like you remember, where you can park right in front of your room, unload your bags at your door. Very friendly and helpful owner / manager. Clean, well maintained beautiful interior that looks like it has been carefully tended to since 1959. If you like classic motels this is one of the best.

My husband and I were looking for a local motel to spend the night while in the Finger Lake region of NY. The Sleepy Hollow Motel was perfect. We enjoy staying in small local motels while traveling and this little place was neat, clean, cozy and comfortable. The wifi was great. The room came with a mini-fridge and coffee maker... More

We enjoyed our stay very much. Owners are very helpful and friendly. It has a heat and air pump that made the room very comfortable no matter what the temperature outside I use a blanket at night and was given a light warm blanket. It felt so good as we like our room cool at night. Looking forward to staying... More

Clean, safe and adorably vintage. Would I have liked to pay less? Well yes, but Sleepy Hollow Motel is a wonderful stop between Auburn and Skaneateles. It doesn't have the luxury items (or stale feel) of big chain hotels, but the wifi, AC, mini-frig, coffee pot & comfortable beds make for a relaxing & refreshing stay.

The Sleepy Hollow Motel was a GREAT find on our recent tour of the Finger Lakes. We wanted to frequent only local proprietors, and are glad we found this one. The room was very clean and neat, but also felt like a "home" atmosphere, unlike the large hotel chains which are clean but completely lacking in character. The proprietors were... More

Nice makeover on this old motel. Bed was comfortable, and room clean as a whistle. Mr. coffemaker and small fridge in room. No microwave. Cute little tv with basic cable. Free wi-fi. Quiet surroundings and friendly host. Basically, everything you need for a comfortable overnight. But paying $140/ night for this type of accomodation, we felt overcharged. We'll just say... More

Dear Lisa, We appreciate your patronage and value your positive feedback. Microwaves and ironing boards are indeed available upon request. For those with a budget in mind and in lieu of a one night stay on Saturday, Sunday or midweek would generally provide a lower room rate. As for the local 13% taxes added as was cited in your total... More
