We enjoyed our stay very much. Owners are very helpful and friendly. It has a heat and air pump that made the room very comfortable no matter what the temperature outside I use a blanket at night and was given a light warm blanket. It felt so good as we like our room cool at night. Looking forward to staying... More

Clean, safe and adorably vintage. Would I have liked to pay less? Well yes, but Sleepy Hollow Motel is a wonderful stop between Auburn and Skaneateles. It doesn't have the luxury items (or stale feel) of big chain hotels, but the wifi, AC, mini-frig, coffee pot & comfortable beds make for a relaxing & refreshing stay.

The Sleepy Hollow Motel was a GREAT find on our recent tour of the Finger Lakes. We wanted to frequent only local proprietors, and are glad we found this one. The room was very clean and neat, but also felt like a "home" atmosphere, unlike the large hotel chains which are clean but completely lacking in character. The proprietors were... More

Nice makeover on this old motel. Bed was comfortable, and room clean as a whistle. Mr. coffemaker and small fridge in room. No microwave. Cute little tv with basic cable. Free wi-fi. Quiet surroundings and friendly host. Basically, everything you need for a comfortable overnight. But paying $140/ night for this type of accomodation, we felt overcharged. We'll just say... More

Dear Lisa, We appreciate your patronage and value your positive feedback. Microwaves and ironing boards are indeed available upon request. For those with a budget in mind and in lieu of a one night stay on Saturday, Sunday or midweek would generally provide a lower room rate. As for the local 13% taxes added as was cited in your total... More

My wife and I occasionally stop at motels like this one...non-chain, older and therefore a little nostalgic for a bygone era. Rarely are we unhappy with our choices. Sleepy Hollow Motel is another good choice. The motel is clean and comfortable and very clearly well-maintained. The sleepy Hollow Motel is conveniently located between Auburn and Skaneateles. We were intending to... More

The room was, indeed, almost freakishly clean. We enjoyed friendly service when we arrived for two nights in June. The room fabrics felt dampish and beds were too soft for our comfort. Your results may vary.

I give this rating because it's was pretty close to perfectly spotless. Yes, it's a motel on the side of a road a few miles from the quaint Skaneatles, there's no granite in the bathroom, no plush duvet, but at appx $100 per night, where are you going to find a truly immaculately kept place like this? No where except... More

If you're looking for a hotel with a Jacuzzi, valet service, and complimentary bottle of Cristal, this may not be your place. If, on the other hand, you're the kind of person who enjoys getting some R&R in quaint rural areas, and just want a clean room, soft bed, and friendly service, I could not recommend Sleepy Hollow more highly.... This is a nice motel just a couple of miles outside the main part of Auburn. We did not know what to expect with this hotel. When we arrived we were greeted and checked in by I believe the owner. Check in was smooth and simple. The rooms were also simple and clean with fantastic retro decor. Comfortable beds, small... More
