It's quite surprisingly to me that the hostel price in Trujillo is quite expensive, compared to Huaraz or Lima or other big cities in Peru. And therefore I think Munaywasi is overpriced in Peru standard, but seems at par in Trujillo. This is indeed a lovely place. Owner is friendly, everything is clean, kitchen is 100% functional, breakfast is nice.... More

Staying in this hostel for a few nights was lovely! As it is someones home, it is cared for in a way that many hostels arent! The bathrooms are clean and appear to be newly renovated. The rooms are lovely, with comfy beds, bedside tables, lamps and fans. A really comfortable, homely place! The breakfasts are great - with bread,... More

Carmela is an incredibly gracious hostess, as is the rest of the staff. The breakfast is wonderful, rooms are clean, and the atmospheres is homey and fun and welcoming. We had a private room on the top floor, which had nice views and good WiFi! We would definitely stay there again if in Trujillo.

Good location - Clean Breakfast is so so. The only hostal where you have to pay to use the kitchen! (If you stay in dormitory) The owner can help you and give information but appears very rude with her personal! :s

We stayed in a large private room for 2 nights which was very clean and quiet. We arrived from the airport at 11pm and the owner was very accommodating for us. She was an incredibly nice and generous host, spoke good English, and was very helpful with tourist information in the area. Perfect location, free wifi, hot showers, decent breakfast,... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. We were allowed to check in early and given a map with useful sightseeing tips. We got our laundry done for a decent price and there was probably the most well stocked and useful kitchen we have ever seen in a hostel. Breakfast was good and there were eggs available which you... A friend and I spent a night in Trujillo, in the Munay Wasi. It was a good but very quiet night! (Which can be a very good thing I suppose.) The owner was incredibly friendly and kind and gave us lots of information about what to do and how to do it. She even called around in Huanchaco (a town... More

We stayed in a private double at Residencial Munay Wasi for 3 nights. The location was OK, about 10 minutes from the Plaza, the neighbourhood seemed safe, but the food options were a bit limited in the immediate vicinity. Our room was pretty large, with a useful dressing table and an OK bed, but the curtains were so thin as... More

Me and my friends stayed in MunayWasi last january. The price is a little bit high (U$13.75), but it's worth it. Run by family, Carmela is an adorable woman, she teach us how to make Pisco Sour from scratch, and her daughter is lovely too. The breakfast is very good, the beds are confortable, and the bathrooms even though they... More

The lady of the hostel was lovely, if a little chatty. She gave many helpful suggestions about the city and its attractions. The breakfast was very nice (bread, butter, jam, egg, home made juice) and I was allowed to use the kitchen, even though I was not staying in one of the private rooms. Due to the fact that it...
