A very comfortable and lovely hostel, close to all the important places in charming Trujillo. Carmelita and her staff are very helpful and kind, and staying there feels more like a home where you visit friends! Clean and comfortable, enough bathrooms and places to relax. Definitively a place to recommend! If you arrive after midnight, just let them know and... More

I had the pleasant opportunity to visit this place. The location is good, safe and close to Plaza de Armas, Supermarkets, Coliseum, Stadium and more. The house is clean, confortable rooms, the owners are very friendly and the services are good. The little puppy is sweet.

Munaywasi is a great place to stay in central Trujillo. My friend and I were having a hard time finding affordable accommodation in Trujillo and decided to take a chance on Munaywasi. The owner Carmela is a gem. We arrived very early on the bus, and showed up shortly after 7am and were let in straight away. Carmela is such... More

I stayed at Residencial Munaywasi for six nights and I had a difficult time leaving because it was so comfortable. Trujillo has so much to offer to travelers and it was great to be able to stay right in the center of town. Most attractions were either within walking distance or an inexpensive combi ride away. The lady of the... More

We arrived at munaywasi at 7 am, and were greeted by the owner in her robe. But she was more then happy to set us up with a map of the city and some helpful tips, as well as pointing out cheap places to eat, bank area, etc on the map. She set us up with our room right away,... More

It's quite surprisingly to me that the hostel price in Trujillo is quite expensive, compared to Huaraz or Lima or other big cities in Peru. And therefore I think Munaywasi is overpriced in Peru standard, but seems at par in Trujillo. This is indeed a lovely place. Owner is friendly, everything is clean, kitchen is 100% functional, breakfast is nice.... More

Staying in this hostel for a few nights was lovely! As it is someones home, it is cared for in a way that many hostels arent! The bathrooms are clean and appear to be newly renovated. The rooms are lovely, with comfy beds, bedside tables, lamps and fans. A really comfortable, homely place! The breakfasts are great - with bread,... More

Carmela is an incredibly gracious hostess, as is the rest of the staff. The breakfast is wonderful, rooms are clean, and the atmospheres is homey and fun and welcoming. We had a private room on the top floor, which had nice views and good WiFi! We would definitely stay there again if in Trujillo.

Good location - Clean Breakfast is so so. The only hostal where you have to pay to use the kitchen! (If you stay in dormitory) The owner can help you and give information but appears very rude with her personal! :s

We stayed in a large private room for 2 nights which was very clean and quiet. We arrived from the airport at 11pm and the owner was very accommodating for us. She was an incredibly nice and generous host, spoke good English, and was very helpful with tourist information in the area. Perfect location, free wifi, hot showers, decent breakfast,... More
