beautiful hotel, lovely lobby with a fireplace, rooms are clean, my room window had a view over a slum-like alley in the back. The rooms have lots of furniture, big, deep drawers to place clothing for a big family. The room door has gaps, so one can hear everything going on in the hallway. There was a comfy sitting area in... More

A beautiful property. ..but the internet is spotty, though, they have many English speaking guests the difficult to manage remotes combine with the absence of a room channel guide to find the 2 English language channels among hundreds of channels offered. There is no thermostat in the room only what seemed to be some sort of radiator. Worse yet there... More

Failed to deliver wake-up calls at the correct time two days in a row even after being told of the initial failure. No safe. Breakfast subpar and unable to keep table filled or open on time. Good location. Small rooms and wrong bed configuration. Shower pressure and temperature subpar. Virtually no English television for the many tourists. Elevators are very... More

This hotel is located near the Plaza de Armas which often has some events going on. It is also 5 minutes from Lima street, a pedestrian only shopping area with lots of restaurants. You can also find banks, shops and even one Karoke bar. We saw many police on the street and we felt quite safe on the street. Past... More

This hotel was in an area that was in walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. We got to see some unexpected festivities around the square that were fun. We had some people who became ill with elevation sickness and the staff was helpful beyond comparison to most places I can think of. The breakfast was good and the entire... More

Nice hotel near the center plaza of Puno and pedestrian street. Rooms are not exactly modern, but this is Peru! The staff is excellent. The breakfasts were good. Beds are comfortable and the area is fairly quiet unless there are celebrations on the plaza. And indeed there were many celebrations during our stay there. But everything seemed to quiet down... This was a block from the main plaza and town Cathedral. It was safe and lots of shopping nearby. The furniture and doors where beautiful, two toned glossy wood, very lovely. Everything was updated including the bathroom. My wifi worked great in the room with a computer on each floor. Breakfast buffet was great and meals in the hotel dining... More

The hotel is situated only a few meters away from the main plaza. Pay more attention to details. I had hair on my bed sheets, and also the furniture its pretty old. Also, a safe with a key?! Come on, you can upgrade them.. I enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby. The breakfast was good and varied, but i hated... More

This was one of the four hotels on my 10 day trip to Peru with Gate1 Travel, location was excellent, breakfast was very good and staff were very friendly. My only complain is that they don't give you enough heat in the rooms, even throughout the hotel,it was always cold and damp.We got an xtra plug in heater but that did not help, bathroom remain... This hotel provides an unbeatable location, just a few steps off the main square. The hotel itself is nice, fireplaces burning here and there in winter, a nice buffet breakfast, nicely decorated rooms and common areas. The free WiFi is so-so, but there are computers available on each floor, free of charge. The hotel appears as well managed and clean.
