The hotel is situated only a few meters away from the main plaza. Pay more attention to details. I had hair on my bed sheets, and also the furniture its pretty old. Also, a safe with a key?! Come on, you can upgrade them.. I enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby. The breakfast was good and varied, but i hated... More

This was one of the four hotels on my 10 day trip to Peru with Gate1 Travel, location was excellent, breakfast was very good and staff were very friendly. My only complain is that they don't give you enough heat in the rooms, even throughout the hotel,it was always cold and damp.We got an xtra plug in heater but that did not help, bathroom remain... This hotel provides an unbeatable location, just a few steps off the main square. The hotel itself is nice, fireplaces burning here and there in winter, a nice buffet breakfast, nicely decorated rooms and common areas. The free WiFi is so-so, but there are computers available on each floor, free of charge. The hotel appears as well managed and clean.

I would love to give this hotel a better rating as I really liked it and the location was so convenient but my brand new Target alarm clock was taken from the room. Looked at it upon leaving in the morning because I was running late and upon entering the room after it had been cleaned the first thing I... More

We got this hotel as part of a tour, not sure what it costs, probably $100 or so. We were surprised to find it full of artworks throughout hotel--hallways, stairwells and the rooms also. The rooms also contained dressers and clothes closets made of exquisite woods. Very nice touches. Nice bed, bathroom, and good breakfast too. Coca tea avail in... More

The location is good – close to the main square of Puno, where you can find the beautiful cathedral and lots of small shops – and most important ATMs! The rooms are not bad either, except if you travel during the winter time. Our room was really cold and when we complained, they brought an extra electric radiator. This helped... More

Especially chose the Royal Inn over lakeside hotels where we have previously stayed, due to its close location to the Plaza de Armas and the many restaurants and eateries so close by. The hotel satisfied all our needs albeit being stuck in somewhat of a timewarp of days gone by and a little dated. Could not fault the staff and... More

Just a half-block from the main square, on a quiet side street. Clean comfortable room. Heat only seemed to work at night ..... carpeted room, marble bath. Small hotel with an impressive lobby open to all 4 floors. Wood - burning stove in the lobby was welcome on those chilly night. Oxygen available on request, coca tea in the lobby.... More

From the oxygen that was provided for travelers in need, to the beautiful lobby with a little fire place, to the very friendly desk clerks who put up with my attempts at Spanish. I would recommend this hotel to EVERYONE.

On the plus side the location is excellent, just a short walk from the cathedral and restaurants. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast buffet is excellent, and the food is very reasonably priced. You can get five minutes free oxygen if you need it. On the negative side the beds are rock hard, with tiny pillows, there is one... More
