The booking was very easy by phone and only two days before our arrival. The room was simple, but clean and we had enough blankets for the nights. We stayed two nights and booked a trip on the Titicaca lake via the hostel, which was a very nice adventure with a english speaking guide. The staff was very nice and... More

Our room, since we did not book ahead, was right off the noisy and cold common area. The blankets were very warm, but dirty. Bathrooms were clean. Common area is fun with pool table and bean bag chairs... also fast/reliable wifi. Included breakfast is very nice: coffee/tea, nice bread options, and an egg cooked how you want on the spot.... Firm mattresses, lots of blankets for keeping warm and wifi throughout hostel. The kitchen was excellent and by far the best I've come across in South America, for once the pans even had lids! Showers were hot and spotless. I particularly liked that there were a few different sitting areas that you could relax in. Staff excellent and more than... More

We booked to stay at Inka's Rest for 3 nights having read good reviews beforehand, but were disappointed. Initially we were fairly pleased, the beds are wide, warm, and comfy, and there is a good amount of communal space, including a TV with netflix which was a nice idea I hadn't come across before in a hostel. The staff were... More

Once I had found it down the small street, this was a really nice place to stay in Puno - clean and comfortable dorm rooms, warm showers, wifi that worked ok, friendly and helpful staff when it came to directions and booking a bus to Cuzco, decent breakfast, lockers and a very good backpacker atmosphere. I have only good things... More

Gilda is the queen bee of this unique little hideaway hostel down a little alley in 1st Quadrant in Puno. Taxi drivers from Juliaca don't find it easily but once you're here you're close to everything. The night I arrived I ate something awful and ended up so sick I had to cancel my two day trip the islands, but... More

One of the weirdest hostels I've stayed in - was very small and not many people! No locks on doors, you had to pull the string to open the door. I don't know if it didnt help that I didn't like puno itself! Other than that, the lady on reception was EXTREMELY helpful and lovely

This was one of only two hostels I stayed in while visiting Peru. While the accomodations are average, the staff ( and I believe owner) are fantastic, supportive and kind. They helped me plan a trip by public transport and although communication could have more easily occured in English, they let me practice my Spanish and facilitated my speaking as... More

I can only agree with the most recent reviews. This place is absolutely overrated! Many rooms have no window or only towards an open staircase which gets some daylight from the roof. Most annoying was that they have a serious „key issue“ meaning that they never really seem to know which key goes with which room. As there are some... More

Super clean hostel with great kitchen facilities. Private double ensuite room was very comfortable and clean. Wifi was very slow in the room. Definitely would recommend this hostel. One suggestion though, blinds should be darker as the room was too bright in the mornings.
