After looking at the three 'nice' hotels in Puno on-line we chose the Casa Andina Private Collection. It's a small property on the shore of Lake Titicaca about 3 miles from Puno. The lobby was terribly busy when we arrived from the train station after taking the Andean Explorer train from Cusco. Half the train must have been staying there... more

We spent only one night at this hotel, but we loved it! Had a view room of the lake with a king size bed...beautiful! The hotel staff were helpful, the restaurant had a beautiful view and the food was yummy. We accidently left one of our bags at the hotel, they worked with our agency to make sure it was... more

I have stayed at many of the Casa Andina hotels throughout Peru and have generally been very happy with the standard and service offered. However, the Casa Andina Private Collection Puno is the unfortunate exception. We stayed two nights during October 2009 and booked into the "Private Collection" as opposed to the "Classic" due to the stunning views of the... more

We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view of the lake during the day and the city of Puno at night was spectacular. We ate dinner in the restaurant two nights and it was very good with attentive service. The price of dinner was not cheap by Peru standards but... more

Nice view from Puno and the Lake. Very good service particularly in the bar. The fireplace and German Gonzalez ("Mozo"), best bartender from the altitude, made us feel at home... more

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights after having done a tour through the sacred valley - so I wanted to treat myself to a nice hotel at Lake Titicaca. And I was more than happy there - I just loved it there - excellent service, very friendly staff, great view from the room, the most comfortable and huge... more

The service at the front desk was excellent. The view was fantastic. But the food gave my friend food poisoning. We had heard good things about the restaurant, and hopefully it was just a fluke, but my friend had the fish- and became violently sick a few hours later. We had been very careful about the water and other food,... more

I have been in that place last September and I especially appreciated the service. High professional and friendly staff ! For instance, they could bring me a lipstick from the city center during the evening ... more

Decided to book a room at the Casa Andina Private Collection based on all the excellent reviews. Unfortunately we were sorely disappointed upon arrival. Beyond the lobby area and the immediate patio area, there is nothing to write home about. Like the other reviews, I do agree that the restaurant food is quite nice though the portions are small and... more

We were on our honeymoon in Peru and this hotel stood out as one of our favorites. The staff always went above and beyond to make sure we had anything / everything we needed. The location was great . . . a bit out of the main town which we preferred. The views from our room was magnificent! more
