We found ourselves at the Eco Inn for two nights after what seems to have been a mix-up by our tour company. It's well out of the centre of town and -- at 9:30pm, following the late arrival of our train from Cuzco -- we weren't minded to try our luck with taxis and the local restaurant "scene". In retrospect,... more

I had no unrealistic expectations here, I was expecting a travelodge as a jumping off point for a trip on Lake Titicaca and that's what I got. The food and restaurant/bar service were borderline acceptable. The room was comfy enough, though I'd've liked a more effective room heater and I was a little put off when I touched a wall... more

We stayed two nights at the Eco Inn last week. I was quite concerned due to some of the bad reviews, but our agent reassured us that it would be fine. We were quite pleasantly surprised as the hotel was comfortable, modern and extremely clean. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is outside of town... more

I agree with the other comments about the hotel being like a motel etc. It looks like a very average touristy type of place. The rooms are specious enough. If you are planning to visit Puno I would avoid it as it is quite far away from the city. Most rooms have a view of Lake Titikaka. We had a... more

As in previous reviews, I agree this hotel is like a motel in a motorway service station. The rooms are comfortable and clean but dated. Do not know how old were the dried leaves in the window sill but judging by the amount of dust on them, they might have been there for a while. So much so than we... more

Stayed here for one night after a change of plan on a tour of South America Nice view of Lake Titicaca from our bedroom window, and llamas from the dining room window! On the night we stayed , the oven was broken and in the process of being repaired when we arrive. The ONE waiter, poor chap, looked shellshocked by... more

This hotel reminds me of one of those hotels that you find in a motorway service station. It was located some distance from Puno (not that there is much to see in Puno) and on the lake shore in a small residential area. Unfortunately the bay area is heavily polluted and the smell can be a bit strong. To top... more

The Hotel is away from the town, so you need a taxi. You have to drive over the railway line to get in to the Hotel, fortunately the train only passed at a reasonable time in the morning. No character to the Hotel. The internet was never available, could not understand the spanish message, and reception was not very helpful.... more

Spoilt by being perhaps overly rated in some reviews, this is a functional, modern but pretty charmless box on the edge of a stagnant backwater of Lake Titicaca. A taxi ride from Puno, this is not somewhere to walk back to but the staff were helpful in organising taxis and restaurant reservations (Keros was a good place to eat). The... more
