I had a Skype interview and needed to stay in a place with decent internet. Qelqatani has very good internet and I could Skype fine. Good breakfast, friendly staff (English speaking too), and clean rooms. The only downside is the thin walls - hearing the sound of the man next door snoring the roof down wasn't my idea of a... Puno is a place you pass through, not one where many stay. It's near Lake Titicaca so even in the summer months (Dec-March), it's still very cold and most of the hotels don't have heating, besides a plug in heater that occasionally work. (I can't imagine visiting during the winter!) We had such a horrible experience at Hacienda Plaza de... More

This hotel was ok. The rooms had very poor air quality which made it difficult to breathe sometimes. Apart from that, the rooms were in pretty good condition. The bathroom was clean. And it had 2 double beds which was an added bonus. The hotel staff were also very helpful. Don't bother with the hotel restaurant. There is food just... More

The Qelqatani Hotel was more than our "base camp" while we visited Puno and sailed to the Islands of Amantani and Taquile on Lake Titicaca. This was our first stop on our 23-day adventure through Peru and we (four travelers in our party) found the atmosphere and services most welcoming. The street access is like most of Puno ... just... When I booked my superior package they chose this hotel, I would have chosen a different one! Yes the staff is really kind, but I hated the location! Narrow street difficult access! The first room they gave me was really dark and smelled like it had been closed for to long! The second one was a little better but still... More

We stayed in a triple room in a corner of the hotel, which seemed relatively quiet. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. The location is convenient to the central square, as well as the main shopping and dining district. The hotel provides a good breakfast buffet, which had a lot more choices than the typical hotel breakfast.... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute. Please dont take rooms on higher floors. The elevation is killing and you may experience shortness of breath if you are not taking diamox or any other medication. They offer airport pickup for a fee but you can find cheaper taxi if you try to book on your own.

Dear guest, thanks to send us your comments. We offer a shuttle service from the airport to our hotel or vice versa and a taxi service will always cost more than a shuttle service. We do not work with taxis. If you need a private service we can also help you but it is not a taxi so this service... More

I have to admit I was surprised how nice this hotel was. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was super nice. I was surprised because the town of Puno itself seemed pretty poor and run down. The hotel had hot water (yes I am mentioning it because that was not always the case during my trip). The room... This hotel is situated very close to the city centre in a very narrow street that made it difficult for our transport to pick us up with luggage. Pleasant hotel, very good breakfast, but noisy at night with nightclubs close by.

Thanks for your feedback. These days we have problems with cars entering our hotel because the municipality is arranging the nearby streets. On the other hand we are glad to know that you liked our breakfast. Weekends usually a bit noisy in some of our rooms but if not find earplugs in your room should request them from reception for... For the price we paid and the poor customer service they offer, we would NOT recommend it to any of our friends. They staff in the reception is no welcoming, approachable or caring. They don´t provide a solution to the customers´ problems. Not proactive at all and seem annoyed when customers approach the counter. Rooms are cold and it takes... More

We really felt that your stay with us has not been as expected. We will continue training our staff as they have to serve them in the best way and find solutions to problems that arise. It would be great for us if you tell us the name of the person who attended at our hotel to know with certainty... More
