We stayed at this hotel for two nights either side of a trip to Lake Titicaca. We were not looking for luxury just comfort and good value for money and we cetainly found that. They picked us up from the bus station which was very handy. the hostel itself may be on a busy road and near discos but they... more

This was the single worst hostal/ hotel we stayed in while traveling in Peru for 3 weeks. A company out of Cusco, that we used to book our Peru travel, had arranged this hostal stay. (we did let them know that this hostal was totally unacceptable via email at 3am, after a very sleepless night ). We had asked for... more

This is such a cute little hotel. Everything is so bright and there is some creative artwork on the walls which adds a lot of interest and makes it different tot the run-of-the-mill Peruvian hotel. Its very likeable. The entrence area is cosy and the staff were very friendly. They even took our clothes for cleaning at a cost of... more

This little hotel is great for the mid-range travelor going to Puno. The downstairs area has a computer with free internet access and a heated seating area with Coca tea for guests. The hotel is ecclectically decorated, which adds to the charm. The breakfast is to die for (when compared to most other continental breakfasts in Peru). It is actually... more

We stayed at Hostal Pukara for one night before our tour to Isla Taquille. The owner is a sweetheart, who reminded us several times that the hostal was our "house". All in all this is a cute, quirky place. The rooms are very standard hostal rooms -but each came with a TV, heater (and they let me use a hairdryer.)... more

Cute place, friendly helpful reception, wonderful view from the enclosed rooftop breakfast area (all windows). The rooms are towards the small size, we were away from the street and it was very quiet so I guess request one of those. The room heaters are big and really put off some heat, it was so nice. It's half a block off... more

Stayed here two nights in June 2007. Was on a tour of Peru with Active South America. Our room was really small and had a big window onto the nosiey street below. Not sure how much the rooms cost since it was included in our package cost. Cute hotel but can be noisey the way it is designed. Nice touch... more

Stayed here 2 nights. Located on busy & noisy pedestrian walkway. Room & bathroom were very small but clean. A plus was the portable heater which was very much needed as the nights are cold at 13,000 feet altitude. Room price includes breakfast which was comprehensive & included eggs. Staff were friendly & spoke some English. Wouldn't stay here again... more

I stayed here with my wife for one night in April and was thoroughly disappointed. I had high expectations after reading the review in the Lonely Planet guide but they were soon quashed when we were shown to our room only to find someone else was in it. They decided in the end to shuffle us off to the room... more

This little Hostal came recommended by a Peruvian friend. The staff, owner, all were super friendly and very efficient. For the money I don't think you could find a nicer, friendlier place to stay. Makes you feel right at home.. Great breakfasts on the rooftop rest. One block from main shopping, and restaurant street.. Great decor. SO WHAT ARE YOU... more
