Really friendly staff. Clean simple rooms. Cereal, yogurt, bread, jan, cheese and banana for breakfast with coffee, hotchoc or tea. Hot water if you let it run for 5 minutes and wifi that worked even on the third floor. Able to leave bags while doing night on islands and super close to plaza de armas and Lima street where all... We stayed here for 3 nights in the beginning of Aug. and had absolutely no complaints. Very basic room (yes outdated but comfortable). Actually there is a lot of hot water but something we learned was you had to run it for a full 5 min (or more) before it reached your bathroom. It is very centrally located with a... More

A no-frills, but comfortable place to stay, run by a lovely family and very central. The one thing that lets the Don Giorgio down, is the claim to have hot water 24 hours a day. Two mornings out of three we had a cold shower - annoying - especially as the lad behind reception kept claiming the water would be... More

Puno is a pleasant town and the Posada Don Giorgio was a nice place to stay. It's on a quiet street near the centro and the people were very friendly. The shower was good and hot. Breakfast was one of the better ones by Peru standards. (Don't expect too much). The room was clean and very reasonable for the price.

My sister, niece and I spent a few days here and we felf fortunate that we had found a quiet, clean spot. The staff was helpful and the breakfast got us off to a good start in the morning. It was only a short walk to Calle Lima were all the shops and restaurants are located

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Average rooms - slightly dark and damp, but made up for by the bathroom - best shower we had in Peru. This was also probably our best night sleep in Peru, being on a side street - it was really quiet. The breakfast was set at a communal table and consisted of the standard bread,... More

This place was great! Small rooms that were mostly clean and great location. Just a few minutes from downtown Puno. They served breakfast which was okay. They don't offer you eggs but you can order them for free if you ask. Usually it was a free bfast that included bread, oj, and coffee. The place was pretty secure and again... More

I recently returned from Puno and stayed at this hotel. I didn't book too much in advance as I was not expecting to stay in Puno but needed to before and after my trip to Lake Titicaca. This hotel was listed in the Lonely Planet. I was pleased with the room and the hotel overall. The room I stayed in... More

Definitely the worst hotel of our trip. Upon arriving at the bus terminal, we were immediately approached by a lady whom we assumed was affiliated with the Posada don Giorgio (whom we had reservations with), as she held up a postcard with its name and picture and offered to help us get there. Silly us -- we should have known... More
