No idea where this hotel got the five stars they display on the wall. As we walked in there was a very strange smell, a bit like air freshener. We soon discovered the whole hotel smelt like this. The rooms were basic with a portable air con unit that was so noisy it wasn't possible to sleep with it on.... More

My room was relatively small and 'cozy', but the view was something else. There were glass windows practically from the ceiling to the floor on the side facing Lake Titicaca. I could really appreciate the feeling of waking up with a beautiful sunrise at Lake Titicaca, with the comfort of my own room in my warm bed. When I was... More

We stayed at the Liberator Estevez in Puno for two night. This is an old world classic hotel but has aged pretty well and the rooms over the lake in which we stayed are absolutely marvelous. The services and amenities in the hotel and truly five star and we would highly recommend staying here whilst in Puno. It doesn't get... More

Its a huge white shipform hotel. We had triple room that is 2 separated rooms and one bathroom. The rooms had big windows and we could hear how strong the wind is outside. I advice to take pills against mountain sicknes. 3 800 meters at sea level is not a joke. I could eat the fantastic food prepared for me... More

We enjoyed our two nights at the Libertador on Lake Titicaca. This is a very nice hotel in an amazing location. On a peninsula/bluff overlooking the lake - our room had a truly amazing view. Given the location and prominent positioning of the building, I don't think there could be a bad view from any room. While nice as-is, the... More

First impressions were of the location on an island accessed via a causeway with a manned security boomgate. Then I noticed the dozen or Llama contently grazing on the front lawns of the hotel. Idyllic! Our superior room was on the fourth floor - smallish compared to our other recent hotel rooms but this was more than compensated for by... More

We picked this hotel for the location - lake's edge, and high up. Indeed it had an incredible view of the lake, which was glorious to wake up to as the windows are huge enough to see out of while still lying in bed. East facing so room gets flooded with morning sun - if you're not already gone due... More

Stayed here two nights after catching the train from cusco. Was very happy with the views overlooking the lake and the room was lovely. A great big bed and the toilet was separate to the rest of the bathroom which was nice. Comforts of robes and slippers and nice chocolates for turn down service. Breakfast had a great variety and... We had the dubious pleasure of staying here on new years eve 2013. The hotel itself is nice, and during the rest of the year if properly staffed, may well be perfectly nice. However for the amount we paid for the night, the service was poor (waiting 35 minutes for drinks before going to the bar to fetch them myself)... More
