We spent two nights here while visiting the floating islands of the Uros people and Taquile island, and were quite happy with it overall. It's a wonderful setting, right on a peninsula in the lake, with an imposing, yet and attractive building that can be seen from all around Puno. The building is supposedly one of the older buildings in... More

We (My wife & I) arrived at dusk yesterday (07/15/2014) after having traveled by bus from Cusco. Most of the geography between the 2 cities is sparsely populated with people living in abject poverty. It was a crushing blow to arrive in Puno to such squalid conditions for it's inhabitant too. We took a taxi from the bus station to... More

We arrived at Libertador Lake Titicaca on the evening of July 9 2014. We had been doing a fair amount of hiking in Cusco and were looking forward to some peace and quiet. This hotel was the answer to our needs. It has a majestic elegance that perfectly adorn the side of Lake Titicaca. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant... More

My wife and I stayed here on June 18 & 19, 2014 while wrapping up our vacation trip to Peru. We had a Jr. Suite and everything about the accommodation was excellent. The rooms were spacious and well furnished and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was large with a very attentive staff. The location is secluded... More

We spent two nights here. Check in an check out were very easy and staff were very helpful. Our room was comfortable and the views were stunning. We did have bathrobes in our room and used them to go to the gym (which is quite small for a 5 star hotel) and the jacuzzi. As it is quite a distance... More

If you are considering this hotel be mindful that it is on the lake shore, some distance from the City of Puno. It is an older hotel, quite clean, with spacious lobby and equally spacious bar - the latter with a beautiful lake view. All of the staff we encountered were completely helpful and accommodating. The dining room is a... More

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. It was the best thing about Lake Titicaca which we found overrated and overcommercialisied. The hotel is well located on a small headland outside Puno, too far to walk into town. All rooms have a full or partial lake view (ours was partial facing the town over the lake). We think even numbered... More

We spent two nights at the Libertador hotel in Puno (Lake Titicaca) in June 2014 as part of a three week tour of Peru. The hotel occupies a quiet location just outside the main town. Although our room was fairly small, the magnificent views of the lake more than compensated (the east-facing rooms are best). The restaurant was excellent for... More

The hotel is located on the lake. The view of the lake is great and you have it all around, the hotel is modern and very comfort, a little far from the center. Breakfast is great. The rooms are a little too small and the bathroom as well. Tall and big people will have difficulties to get around.

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights at this property and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is located by the shores of Lake Titicaca with a beautiful garden, lovely walks along the shoreline of the lake & if you are lucky a visitation from the herd of llamas that live nearby. We had reserved a lake view room but... More
