Intended to stay here 2 nights but only stayed 1. The hostel was nice, but having arrived late at night the area (though not far from the main plaza) felt a little intimidating. We had to ask to move rooms from the very top floor as there was a party going on on the terrace. Hosts were more than obliging... More

I arrived via bus on a Friday afternoon, took a taxi to the Hostel for S/5 (Duque Hostel had said pay no more than S/6). Upon Arrival, the staff was very helpful, I needed to go to the bank machine and they had no issue, offering me my room to drop my luggage and to pay later. When 'later' came,... More

As already been mentioned, this hostel is a great option for budget travelers. Norma is very attentive and friendly. We arrived to Puno at 4:30am and she was waiting for us at the bus terminal! Moreover she helped us to find the right bus company and purchase tickets for our next day travel before bringing us to the hostel. We... More

We can very much recommend this hostel. The service is extremely good as you can choose to get picked up at the bus terminal for free (you only pay the taxi) and the manager even waited for more than half an our for us because our bus was late! Breakfast is tasty and it is served on the beautiful terrace... More

Arrived in puno at 5 am without a place to stay. The people in the bus station were lying about available accomadations so on a whim I went here based on word of mouth. Its a travelers hotel but very nice. I was surprised to get a memory foam mattress. Breakfast is affordable at 5 soles. Norma and her family... More

I wanted to spend as little as possible and saw shared bathroom singles for S15 on the website, when I got to the hostal, all they had was the matrimonial room with bathroom, obviously I took it but was worried about the ending price. The hostel was quite cold, I thought there would be breakfast but there didn't seem to... More

Rooms are borderline clean. The bedding has seen better days, full of cigarette burns. Shared bathrooms. Breakfast is a bun and a tiny fruit salad. Instant coffee. This is an example of a low end hostal. The price reflects this, it is cheap. Owner is very nice and helpful.

El Duque Inn could not have been more accomodating. My boyfriend and I are traveling on a budget and this place was definitely worth every penny. We arrived on a bus from Cusco at 5am and were able to check in right away, go to sleep for a few hours, and still have breakfast at 11am (for a small charge... More

It's a good hotel for a very reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and helpful but speaks only Spanish. Although he tries his best to explain things you are interested in. We stayed there 2 nights and paid 40 soles for a double room with a shared shower and breakfast. You share one shower in a floor which is... More

We got a reply when we emailed them and the family were attentive; good room and reasonable views. During our stay the showers did not work properly and had to go to a different floor. The hostel is basic and they arranged our Island trip on Lake Titicaca. As a place to stay for 1 day is perfect it does... More
