Having eaten a few average breakfasts in Peru, we were amazed by what was on offer at La Casa de Manuelita. Fruit juice, cereal, fresh bread, jam, eggs, ham, cheese, avocado, yogurt and fruit was a great, filling way to start our days in Puno. In addition, our double room on the fourth floor was modern and clean with nice... More

We stayed at this hotel because other hotel canceled our reservation last minute. The manager was extremely nice and helpful. I was sick one morning and I went down when the breakfast time was over. However he offered to still serve me breakfast so I could have something to eat before my trip....really nice gesture!!. He also offered us a... More

We were advised to take this hotel by the travel agency that operated the bus. Arriving at the hotel by night we were a bit uncertain about the location, but had a very warm welcome by the personnel. The room was big, comfortable and had been heated up for us. Showers were not very hot, but quite acceptable. The day... More

A lovely location just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas...though the trek up that hill at such a high altitude does leave you a bit breathless. Very clean and cozy inside, with a lovely staff always going out of their way to help you with whatever you need. Not sure if English is spoken-- quite sure that some... More

Clean, free WiFi, friendly service, away from the noisy city centre with good views of the lake. Don't bother with the full day lake tour offered by the hotel. Instead just do a 2 hr short trip to see all the good stuff. The full day lake tour is just an expensive slow long trip (4hrs on the boat with... More

After booking another hotel which unfortunately messed up our booking we had to find somewhere else to stay quickly when we arrived to Puno in the evening. Through booking.com we found this place. When we arrived the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was warm compared to everywhere else we have been at altitude, much newer building than most... More

Good value in the midrange price zone, with one of the best view in Puno, new building and furnitures, nice, luminous breakfast area, and rooms for parties of 3-4 available. English is spoken. x x x x x x

La casa de manuelita or manuelita inn. I was positively surprised about the quality of the rooms and the service. The hotel seems to be a "new" one since taxis from the bus terminal had no idea were to go (usually they know the hotels in the heart of the city) but manuelita is not that central. Nevertheless only 3... More
