Anaconda Lodge was a fantastic place to stay. There are several friendly monkeys on the property (as well as a number of other cool animals) that made a stay here very entertaining. One of the proprieters, Malee (sp?) makes absolutely fantastic Thai Food at a bargain. The rooms (bungalows) were clean, well equipped, and we didn't have any mosquito or... More

The Anaconda Lodge is a great place to stay for relaxing and experiencing life in the jungle. I stay here with my boyfriend for a few weeks. It's amazing how much wildlife you can see here. To live with the monkeys is another great experience. We have a clean bungalow with mosquito nets, which is really important to me. Two... More

I stumbled upon Anaconda Lodge after a week of exploring the jungle with Anaconda's next door neighbors, Rainforest Expeditions. Without a reservation, I showed up and Donald set me up in a private bungalow w/ shared bathroom by the pool. On the walk to my room, a red howler monkey jumped off of a tree and followed us to my... Stayed here instead of tarantula hostel, because tarantula had bed bugs and was extremely dirty. Anaconda was also kind of enough to take us from the airport when tarantula forgot. This was the first stop on our trip and it didn't start out as great because our baggage was lost, and I was in a country where I could barely... More

We moved from the town to this lodge as we heard about the extraordinary wildlife here within the grounds. In the jungle gardens of this place they have monkeys, lizards, tarantulas, the worlds largest water rodents, fireflies and much much more! They also have a swimming pool where we could sit during the day and feed the monkeys which was... More

We stayed at Anaconda lodge for two nights in Sept 2014. It was a wonderful, unique lodging experience and one of out favorites in Peru. What makes it great: (1) Monkeys: There were three incredibly cute and friendly howler monkeys that live at the lodge (also two dogs, at least one cat, chickens, etc...). We spent a lot of time... We were a little skeptical of trips to the Amazon from the Brazil, Peru and Bolivia sides. We had heard lots of disappointments and were close to not going altogether. That was until we heard about Donald and Wadee's guesthouse. The place sounded the perfect amount of rustic and established for our taste. As soon as we arrived, we knew... More

When we planned a visit to PM we read reviews of the lodge and decision was made... 100% the right one. We paid 260dollars each for all inclusive including tours to lake, river kayaking and for me the amazing piranha fishing. Donald also thru in a tour of the garden. Monkeys will come from the trees for cuddles and we... More

Everything has positives and negatives and I think the key is matching your personality to your lodge. I went to Puerto Maldonado with my niece and nephew and we are all counting the days and dollars until we can go back. We liked this more than Machu Picchu. The off the charts amazing things about this lodge by far outweigh... More

Our family spent 2 nights here, before and after heading downriver to jungle lodges. Clean and very hospitable. The screened casitas are separated enough by thick vegetation to give true jungle feel and we enjoyed the friendly pet monkeys as well as the clean, nicely sized pool. Thai cooking is superb, at very reasonable prices. The owners are very helpful... More
