Enthralling episode in a South American adventure. From the moment of arrival at Puerto Maldonado Airport, you are looked after by the attentive Inkaterra staff. A forty five minute boat journey later and you arrive at the Lodge which is luxury in the middle of the jungle. Rooms which are individual cabins have en-suite facilities, lighting for most of the... more

Perfect for a small dose of jungle without getting too boy-scout about things. It's a resort and feels like one, but getting there on a long boat and then being right by the river makes it a very amateur-jungle-tourist-friendly experience. A couple of nights is probably enough - the excursions are good fun, and again well-suited for the clientele: city... more

They say you get what you pay for and although not always the case our 2 night stay at the Reserva Amazonica was a wonderful experience well worth the money. If you can't afford to stay here try and save up and stay here if you can! From start to finish everything was very well planned, we were met at... more

Our stay at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica was intended as a "rest stop" in between a 3 day white water rafting adventure and the classic 4 day Inca Trail trek, and boy was it ever! Inkaterra has mastered the balance between luxury accomodations and ecological responsibility. There's no other way to describe it. We were met at the airport by hotel... more

The amazing experience started out from landing at the airport. On landing and stepping off the plane the heat had me craving an ice cold bottle of water (with a mental note to stop in the shop for water before we travelled to the resort). I collected my baggage and an inkaterra rep was waiting for us WITH an ice... more

We stayed here as part of our travels around Peru. It was the first and best place we stayed. I cannot say a bad thing about this place except we had bad weather & they cant control that! The rooms were luxury, the food was great, the tours cool & the surroundings amazing! We would go back in a heartbeat!... more

I was at the Inkaterra for four days July 18 to 21, 2009. On arrival at Puerto Maldonado, we were taken to the hotel's office for registration and other formalities. We then boarded boats that resembled large dugout canoes that took us 45 mins upriver to the hotel. Access to the hotel is via a rather capricious looking set of... more

We recently returned from our 3 night 4 day stay at the Reserva Amazonica and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Rainforest and were very happy we stayed at the Inkaterra lodge. Our bungalow #2 was perfecct and even though it wasn't a river view room, we could see the river from our bungalow as well as the lush... more

You can be in the middle of the jungle but go to bed feeling completly safe. All the rooms are villa style rooms, elevated and sealed off against insects by an anti mosquito kind of fabric. Beds are super comfy (the kind you don't wat to get out of), decor is simple but stylish and elegant considering it is the... more
