By error the agency reserved this hotel for two nights, yes, all is clean, but rooms look on a kind of small hole and you feel like in the tomb of Inka, if you have a claustrophobia rather go away. No view, all rooms are inside, without windows on street, some are smelling fishes from kitchen. Do not stay here,... More

Yes, it is affordable, but the hotel is registered as a three star hotel. I've been in many, many three star hotels in Peru and other countries and frankly Hotel Paraiso doesn't make it to that category. The rooms are very small, with no air conditioning, unless you request one and pay an additional fee. No amenities in the bathrooms... More

Arrived in Chiclayo by luxury bus. Chose Paraiso Hotel B/B. at 205 soles for two nights, double ensuite. Eggs are on offer for breakfast, with fruit juice, tea or coffee plus, rolls and jam. Alot of the roads were dug up around the city. The market nearby, supplies cheap meals,it is hard to find a bar or coffee shop! You can buy beer in the... More

First let me say that I have entered (to get info, not necessarily to stay at) at least 30 hotels in Chiclayo, from the best (in my opinion Garza hotel, costa del sol, and gran hotel) to the worst (they rent the rooms by the hour)...With all that being said, this hotel is on definitely on the better half. I... More

This place is definitely set up like a proper Hotel as opposed to so many other guest houses, calling themselves Hotels in South America. The comparatively fancy hotel with its glass doors kind of sticks out on the dusty streets of Chiclayo, trying hard to be one the most exclusive Hotels in the area, which it probably is. This type... Having arrived in the dirty dustbowl called Chiclayo which gets a good write up in LP as many poor places do, we came here. The receptionist girl tried to con us into paying for a more expensive room than we wanted saying nothing else was available and only as we walked out did the porter tell us to come back... More

This hotel looked great from the website and we'd read reviews on a few different sites that made it sound pretty good. It's a modern building, in good condition, with a nice lobby and small restaurant. The rooms are tiny but clean. The hotel doesn't offer rooms with air conditioning and the ceiling fan in our room did little to... More

When I got out of my dilapidated taxi, took one look at the scruffy street my hotel was in, I felt relief as I walked into the elegant lobby - I thought I'd got a boutique hotel for the bargain price of 75 sols. Well, it wasn't such a bargain. The lobby is the best party of the hotel. My... More

Hotel Paraiso is an inexpensive, pleasant hotel near the center of Chiclayo. This city is a bit rough, and it was nice to have a safe, clean, friendly hotel to come home to. The clientele was a mix of business travelers and tourists. They were in the process of renovating the lobby when we stayed here, and they're making some... More

Although its not a "backpacker" hostal, good place for backpackers. Its cheap, clean, they have (not free) internet in their lobby, a small cheap restaurant open all day, reliable hot water and cable TV in each room.
