This place is a good option for your stop over in David, including if you just need somewhere to sleep for a night before pressing on. We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom for USD$28. Room was spartan but clean and spacious. Bathroom clean. Cable tv and good wifi included. Air con also included, which we needed as... More

We've been in bambu during a quiet period (so we don't know how it is with the bar full just next to the room during week end or high season)! we had the dorm (bambu room) for us! it's a lovely place. People who work there are nice and helpfull. we tried another hostel in David as that one was... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights just whilst we were killing time before our friend arrives as we can explore with him - the pool and tv made this a great place to do that with us able to watch the World Cup and hang out in the pool! Big kitchen is very nicely kept and well equipped-... More

I had been staying at another hostel in town and just wasn't feeling it when I found this gem. The rooms and common areas are nice, the grounds are beautiful, the staff is so friendly. Great value as well! Really felt at home there. Will return next time I visit Panama.

Bambu hostel is a fantastic stopover if you are travelling through Panama. It is very easy to stay longer than originally planned, as we ended up doing. The outdoor kitchen and garden with a great swimming pool are an awesome place to chill out for a day or two and there is a variety of sleeping options to suit all... More

This place is ok for a hostel and they do have different accommodation options. We stayed in the bunk beds in the wooden hut. The bunk beds were unstable and the moskito nets were dirty and with holes. The common areas were ok and the people were friendly. The kitchen looked alright and the swimming pool is a plus. Good... This place rocked, we got exactly what we reserved, the staff was very professional and Greg the host is a great person to chat with. They gave us plenty of information in regards to sites to see, in the area and as a result had several fun filled excursions in the surrounding areas. Yes there were rooster, and the shower... More

We made one of our few mistakes staying here. The pool is filthy as is the kitchen and the shred bathrooms. The receptionist an English girl was not overly helpful and made you feel as though you were interrupting her every time you asked a question. Location is not central, and we were just happy to get out of there... More

First of all as hard as we try we can never be the perfect place for every person. The week in question we had a large group of messy students in the house coupled with 4 days of heavy wind and rain which blew leaves and branches into the pool and the pool pump chose to break at the same... More

We stayed here for one night as we continued on the next morning. We were provided with lots of different options for rooms, all of which were a great price and value for your money. We ended up staying in a private with shared bathrooms. The room itself wasn't much, and was a bit hot, but the hostel made up... More

We stopped here overnight just to lay our heads before continuing on our bus journey the next day. The host had the funniest sense of humor. The rooms were big, clean and quiet. The pool area was really nice to have in this hot area. Communal kitchen was nice, and they even had a little gym area outside, which was... More
