Got an opportunity to stay here for one night. Location of hotel is far away from the city hustle and hence if you like silent locations this is the one. Property interiors are good and antique style, however not much impressed with food quality.

Drive an easy hour away from Panama and you will feel you flew 8 hours into the Brazil Amazon! You can just relax at the pool with a pinia colada or take a tour around the lake or join any of their outdoors activities. We were there for a weekend family gathering were "nothing to do" but relax was our... More

The Museum is well worth a visit, the viewing tower is fascinating especially when a ship comes in to Lock. We found security a bit Lax, but, hey! It's Panama! We also went on Lake Gatun which is part of the whole system. We rode the Zip Line here over the lake. GREAT FUN!

Here for a one night stay and I must say that this place is unique. A rather small hotel, however the amenities go above and beyond one's expectations for a hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, along with the pool and outdoor activities. I did enjoy the dining which had a huge breakfast buffet and helpful staff.

We arrived at this hotel through a discount arrangement, so we got a very good deal for a 3 days, two night staying. We had room 1105 where the air conditioning was barely felt. We reported this to hotel reception and although they said they would send someone to check it, never did. At the end, we settle with room... More

directly at the Gatun Lake. After our excellent stays in Panama City and our so - so experiance in El Valle de Anton and Pedasí we decided to move to the Melia at the Gatun Lake. About 6 km outside of the city of Colon. It was a good choice!

The area is nice and the hotel is clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive, they will go out of their way for the guests. It is overpriced, and like most all inclusive hotels, the food is average. We rented the room and then make the mistake of "up-grading" for the all inclusive. Don't make the same mistake!

The grounds are beautiful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The all inclusive was not worth it. There are no snacks, there is no sports bar as mentioned on their website. Bars did not have basic ingredients to make drinks on their own menu. Service was slow. There isn't really anywhere else to go locally for meals, so you have to... More

We stayed in an RCI swap unit with a kitchen, two bathrooms and a king sized bed. Positives were very nice employees (who spoke little english but we worked it out), great WIFI and water pressure. They also had off-road bicycles but there was no a big choice of places to go. The room was huge and well decorated with... More
