First there is this beautiful boat ride from Bocas town over some of the clearest water I have ever seen, and I live in the Keys. We were met at the dock by Marlin's dog, what a cutie but is a serious watchdog. We sat outside and ate and drank, and drank... Then as the sun was getting ready to... More

Decided to try out Panama for six months as a retirement destination, starting with Bocas del Toro at Cayo del Sol. My original plan was to stay a few months and explore the rest of the country. It's been four months now, and I'm still here. Marlin takes great care of his guests, and you can't beat the accommodations. The... More

Have yet to stay there but visited and was most impressed, Marlin is as nice as can be and the ambiance of this lodge is one of a kind. The birds, the ocean and watching the dolphins off of the deck of the common eating/sitting area is priceless.

What a comfortable, affordable, and beautiful place to unwind and decompress. They views are stunning. Marlin and Chino are the most gracious of hosts and you have to try his Tuna. The location is perfect, just far enough out of town to relax but close enough to be having drinks in Bocas proper in fifteen minutes.

After spending some time in the town of Bocas, we were happy to arrive at Cayo del Sol. In direct contrast to the (fun, but commercialized and noisy) town, this little corner of the out-island jungle was amazingly quiet and peaceful. The room looked more like a nice U.S. hotel room than a Central American hotel, and was clean and... More

My husband and I came to Bocas del Toro not really knowing much about it we left knowing much more about the culture and area. Bocas is a pristine area but you do you really need to have somebody to show you around it's an area where if you're an outsider you need some one to show you the way... More

I have visited Bocas yearly since 2006. Accommodations are incredible! Marlin is an outstanding host and chef too! Local foods are cooked to perfection. Marlin provides the unique Bocas experience whether it be snorkeling, fishing or exploring secluded islands. Can't wait to return!

Its a perfekt place to stay if you seek a quiet and confortable place. Marlin the owner is a very nice guy and an excellent cook. He served the best Tunafish dish we ever tasted. Thank you very much for this nice 2 days in your Lodge

My wife and I spent a night here and were just floored with the gorgeous views. Marlin, the owner, is also a nice guy and ready to help you cook a meal in his open kitchen. If you get a chance, try his chili dogs!

We headed out to Cayo del Sol for just a night and, when we arrived, I immediately regretted we didn't book for longer. This secluded retreat was the kind of place that stress and worry just fell away … I mean, what is there to worry about when you are an hour away by boat from the closest town? Set... More
