This is definitely a mid-range rather than top end hotel! Its perfectly good. Rooms are spacious and clean if a little basic, with good views over the lagoon. It is well situated overlooking the lagoon and close to Sur town centre. An adequate fairly simple breakfast is provided. If you're not looking for anything particularly special but functional, reasonably priced... More

We stayed here for one night whilst travelling around Oman. The room was large with a tiled floor, bathroom was fine with a good shower. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Staff were friendly. We ate at the restaurant next door called Sahari and had a great meal.

The location is convenient, the room was clean and large enough. This hotel is not suitable for kids though. No child menu's, no high chairs, an elevator that does not open automatically when you get stuck in the door with your stroller, and a very noisy location. Not only from outside, but also inside because of the open central mezzanine across... More

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel while visiting the different wadis in the Sur area. The hotel in itself is in a great location, right by a petrol station. It's close to a hill with a small fort on top, great view of the entire Sur from there :) Especially at Sunset. The breakfast was the best we had... More

Found rooms here for my tour group when our Ras al Jinz resort booking was last minute cancelled due to staff protesting pay and conditions. A strike in Oman is most unexpected! So discovering the joys of Al Ayjah Plaza Hotel was a big fat pleasant surprise. The hotel proprietor went well out of his way to make our stay... More

We stayed here for one night. The location is good, overlooking the lagoon and within walking distance from Sur centre. Rooms are nice, airy and clean. Overall very god value for the money. The Sahari restaurant next door is a bonus. To get their go to Sur, follow the Corniche along the sea, cross the bridge, turn right at the... More

In 10 days at Oman, we found out the most rubbish hotel of Oman. The location is nice but the hotel is old and the room is full of coakroaches so get ready an insecticide before going there. People at reception are nice but look out they will sell you tickets for visiting the turtle science center (Ras al Jinz)... More

Stayed here for one night to explore Sur. I enjoyed the Sisha bar with a nice terrace facing the laguna very much. I also found the balcony very nice. Quite good value when comparing to other places in the same price region. Pros: - modern, business style hotel. - good value - large, modern rooms with small balconies. - free... More
