Hudson has been an escape for me from the madness of city life and so I was thrilled to discover this a hidden gem of a hotel! Only a short drive to Hudson and located directly across the river. It is wonderful to look across at Hudson while lounging in the Stewart House's river front patio. Not only is the... More

My husband and I went here for what we had hoped would be a quiet and relaxing stay in a classy, vintage hotel. The start of our trip was promising as the place is sweetly decorated and has a charming feel. BUT what we got is an extremely loud and uncomfortable stay in a weird place that sits atop a... More

We are sorry that music bothered this couple; that is why we provided a meaningful refund when it was requested. However, the fact is that our live music (Friday and Saturday nights in the indoor bar downstairs during the winter time 8 PM-11 PM) was fully disclosed to the guests. The restaurant/bar is below 3 of the rooms in the... More

My boyfriend surprised me with a two-night stay here in the Romeo and Juliet suite for my birthday. As soon as we entered the hotel, we were taken aback by its charm; gorgeous hand-painted wallpaper, old bookshelves with little antique trinkets, and a beautiful copper staircase. Bianca greeted us upon our arrival and proceeded to give us a tour of... More

Let me start by saying that we enjoyed our weekend at the Stewart House. The town of Athens is pretty bare, especially in the winter, but there is lots to do in neighboring towns. We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet suite and while they are going for a shabby-chic look, a lot of the furniture was more on the... More

We stayed on a Sunday night on the bitterest cold weekend in decades. The bed was comfortable and warm with luxurious linens (by Vera Wang, my wife noted). In the living room, the jetted tub by the windows overlooking the Hudson was incredible, and the homemade quiche and fresh croissants - which were part of the continental breakfast - were... More

My husband and I stayed at the Stewart house over Thanksgiving weekend, 2014. We had an absolutely fabulous time! We'd come up from the energy and noise of the city and felt like we'd entered a gorgeous 19th century film set. There was a soft gray mist over the water; birds were heading south, and it was gloriously quiet. We... More

They have very loud bands play every Friday and Saturday nite til 11:30. It doesn't matter if you are on the second floor or the third floor. Even with earplugs and the tv on we could hear the music. So if you are looking to stay up late and rock out this is your place If you want to relax... More

I wanted to take my fiancé on a nice relaxing weekend and the Stewart House did not disappoint. The weekend manager Bianca was very hospitable and view from our room was amazing. The Stewart House is a great B&B and I would definitely come back. Dayne Chance

This place literally had me at hello. I am an actress and I was put up at the Stewart House last month while I was on location shooting a film. From the moment I arrived at the train station in Hudson I was smitten... the driver picked me up in the Stewart House's very own1968 Cadillac! The fun didn't stop... More

This place is a gem. The rooms are excellent with quirky, but entirely appropriate decor, outstanding bedding, great views, high ceiling and super good bathrooms. The hotel is VERY clean and has all the amenities you could ask for. Stewart House is about as far from corporate as you can get, yet manages to do it with great style and... More
