I'm not used to guest houses but this was more of a small hotel. My small suite, although not on the front side, did have a view of the lagoon ( Atlantic Ocean) and the sea birds - pelicans, flamingos & guls etc. Very clean, spacious accommodation with kitchenette but nothing to use even for a cup of tea at... when you have already traveled a little bit in Namibia you may be surprised (or not) by this hotel, completely conventional, in structure and style, but how comfortable!!! big room, jacuzi, Wi-Fi, all is there for a real comfortable stay! moreover, if you have one of the front rooms, you may be so lucky as being awaken by flamingos landing... I travel to Walvis Bay on business quite often and the Oysterbox is one of my preferred stays. It is clean, on the edge of the lagoon, within easy walk of the Raft Restaurant, the Waterfront restaurants and the Yacht Club. Breakfast is pleasant with great views across the lagoon. Pelicans and flamingos aplenty right across the road. The place... More

The Oyster Box is a newer, modern style B&B Guesthouse with a beach house feeling, because of its design, colors and the large windows to let the light in and the views out over the deck to the esplanade promenade and the bay. The bay facing part of the building has on the ground floor the reception and a lounge... More

This guesthouse has a great location opposite the Raft. The rooms are nice and clean. We got our own internet luckily. The place is very open, the rooms are accessible from the outside. A bit more privacy would be nice. I would stay here again if I come back one day.

We were disappointed with our two night stay. Staff kind of "dead", badly lacking in attention to detail, no character. For example - breakfast ran to 10am but when we arrived around 9.30am they were already packing up, had to ask for fruit, didn't bother to ask for brown bread for toast and they didn't offer, for two days a... I had to leave the guesthouse and go and stay at a hotel because they had no wifi in the rooms, this should be very cheap to rectify but now they will loose my business because of this and we have been complaining about his for some time as it is not my first visit here !

Oyster Guesthouse located on the wonderfull Lagoon is one the best option in town. Rooms are clean and modern design style. Breackfast is very good and you have many options. The view on the sea is wonderful. I strongly suggest this guesthouse.

This is the "seafacing room" when we booked, but when we check in, we totally fell been cheated. Very small window and can only see a little part of sea. And when we want to change the room upstairs, we was refused by so many excuses! But actually they have upstairs room available and waiting for guest check-in. I believe... More

We stayed at oyster box for a night and we thought that they are way too expensive for what they offer. My friends room (Which was a double) had only 1 towel. The staff was absent on breakfast time. Breakfast was nothing special. We will not come back there.
