We held a 50 pax conference at the Swakopmund Sands Hotel in March 2014. As a conference venue it was fantastic - the room, equipment and service were perfect - and the food (tea breaks and lunch) was the best we have ever had at a conference. Honestly ... a fabulous venue for a conference. Definitely recommended.

We had our wedding in Swakopmund, and I stayed here for 2 nights as bride to be. Dewet and his team were great, accommodating us in any way possible and we appreciate it. From slippers and robes in the rooms(room was luxurious and spacious, wow!), to the view from my balcony, everything was stunning. Thanks for everything, will surely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The rooms came out really nice, the breakfast had an excellent variety and the staff was very friendly. On arrival and on departure they were very helpful with the luggage.

We stayed for 3 nights at the recently refurbished Swakopmund Sands. Located almost opposite the beach, you are a few moments stroll away from the Jetty & the Tug restaurants although a slightly longer walk into town. Having arrived from a Wilderness Camp in Damaraland the retro décor was a slight assault on the senses as was the open plan... More

We stayed here for two nights on a small group tour. We were lucky to get a large, recently refurbished suite which was superb. Stanford, who was on reception, was amazing. He organised everything we wanted, restaurant bookings, taxis, drinks, etc., and always with a happy smile. The good breakfast was served in a bright airy room, a good way... More

We stayed two nights at the Sands Hotel whilst on safari. The staff were pleasant and accommodating to our group who had a few difficult members. I was able to organise a pile of washing to be taken off and returned the next day prior to our hitting the road again. It is a well positioned hotel with secure parking... More

We were a group of seven staying in four different rooms - all of them newly done, some of them very nicely. The "superior" or "luxury" rooms have a very nice bathroom, but the disadvantage is that it is open plan and there is no chance of continuing to sleep when your partner needs to wash his/her hands. The quality... More

New owners took over this small hotel about 12 months ago. It is gradually being re-vamped. Do double check which room you are booked into! Whilst the hotel's new brochure highlights the fact that all rooms have been refurbished, thus is NOT the case. On the first night of a three night stay, we were given one of the older... More

This is now the Swakopmund Sands. We had a 2 night stay here, it is advertised as a boutique hotel. We had the only room with a balcony facing the sea. Room was spacious with a huge bathroom, clean and nicely furnished. In winter but I can see that it could get hot and you are on a main road.... More

Hotel facilities is just outside the city center, in one relatively quiet area. We had one room downstairs, and construction work right outside the window we did not sleep so much. The room was large and clean and with spacious bathrooms. Staff was very nice and served us beer on the roof terrace. Breakfast was good with plenty of good... More
