My family and I spent three nights at the Swakopmund Sands Hotel in December. The hotel was fantastic. They have a number of wonderful restaurants in the hotel who all offer fantastic cuisine. The Delhi is fantastic where they serve breakfast each day. The hotel is located right on the beach front and you can sit at one of the... More

Friendly and helpful staff, nice clean rooms, breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and location close to the beach, to Jettys (great food for lunch or dinner!) and to old town with parking possibilities directly in front of the hotel. It was perfect for our 2-day stopover during our trip through the desert

Loved our stay there. Friendly staff and well situated next to the beach and central of all activities in and around Swakopmund. The aqurium, museam, and restaurant are all a walking distance away. Would definitely visit again and use this hotel.

Swakopmund Sands Hotel is located at the end (or beginning) of the Strand Street, just opposite the Atlantic Ocean. They don´t have an official guarded parking lot, but in the evening the security guards allow the guests to park their cars in the inner yard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms, especially the suites, are really nicely... More

Hotel is close to the beach and to "town". Room was huge, clean with a big bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with special vegetarian treats for hubby. Free Wi-Fi was appreciated! Opposite hotel is aquarium and beach, and walking distance to good restaurants. Swakopmund has cafe-culture vibe. Most attractions can be viewed on foot. Excellent meal at the Tug Restaurant. Tables... More

We were stuck between a three and a four star for this, but are going for four because the breakfast staff were friendly! There was nothing really wrong with the hotel, it was just a little...soulless. The rooms were comfortable enough, although the beds were on the small side. Lovely showers (we made sure we had a bathroom in its... More

This hotel recently refurbished is located near the seaside at walking distance from the Swakopmund city centre. Rooms are large, clean but rather sober. There is no restaurant. The bar is in the lobby area. It is not an exciting place to stay except that in the middle of the night someone tried to enter in our room making lots... More

Our room at the Swakopmund Sands hotel is musty and stinky. This is because the shower has no ventilation. The shower has no walls except the wall to which the shower head is attached. In other words, the shower is not in a bathroom. Thus, moisture and steam go everywhere. You cannot even leave the windows open while showering unless... More

Well positioned, modern hotel with breakfast included. Staff were superb. Very helpful and friendly, gave us many tips on places to visit and also made restaurant and trip bookings for us. Enjoyed our stay very much.

We e-mailed the hotel 10 days prior to our arrival asking them to book some excursions for us. Not only was this done but they also booked dinner at three local restaurants for each of the nights we were staying there. We hadn’t realised that they had no restaurant (they only do breakfast) and that weekend dinner reservations are impossible... More
