While the hotel is modern and staff is reasonably friendly, it is relatively far from the centre of Swakopmund and salking during nighttime may not be safe. Wireless did not work in our rooms, and could not be repaired in three days. Dinner reservations are necessary in Swakop! Sunday at lunchtime you cannot get anything to eat... Parking is guarded,... We stayed in a family room for 2 nights. Room size was good, beds were extremely comfortable and bedroom and bathroom spotlessly clean. Shower was large with great pressure. Not much ventilation in bathroom however which did steam up entire room. Location was good, staff friendly and breakfast was adequate. Would stay there again if visiting Swakopmund.

We had booked 2 nights here but only ended up staying one because we changed our travel plans and decided to add in a trip to Soussusvlei (which we were thrilled we did!). We stayed somewhere else for our first 4 nights but that place didn't have availability so we booked this one to make up the difference. All in... More

We found the Swakopmund Sands Hotel to be in a perfect location for us! We could walk to the beach, the downtown area for shopping and coffee shops, as well it is not far from the open craft market for souvenirs. The room was clean and had a large enough safe where we could, at least get some of our... More

We went to Swakopmundo because we wanted to visit the Skeleton Coast and the Dunes. The reviews were good so we decided to try out this hotel. I must say it was worth it!!! The Reception desk was extremely helpful and knowledgable of the area. They booked tours and restaurants for us and we weren't disappointed with their choices. The... More

Swakopmund Sands Hotel provided great comfort mid-way through my Namibian safari. It has a sleek, contemporary interior design & just about every convenience you could want. Best of all, it is just half a block from the beachfront. I could hear the waves crashing even though I didn't have windows on the seafront. As for the room, it was very... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel is situated close to the beach and in walking distance of very good restaurants. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Good security and modern decorated rooms in a quiet area of town. Breakfast is a good spread of fruits, cereal, eggs, toast, cold meats, croissants, cheese, etc.... More

We were allocated the Royal Ruby Suite, which may have been the best room in the hotel. It has its own balcony, together with a 'secret' bathroom which you find at the behind a wardrobe door. The lighting in the bathroom was like something out of a film set - surreal. We had the use of a kitchen as well,... More

Beautiful hotel on the beach front in Swakopmund, only 5 minutes walk to the tug restuarant and the Jetty 1905 restaurant. Very friendly staff very welcoming when we arrived, room 5 is a great room as it has a wonderful balcony which you can see the view of the sea. Very clean and tidy roon with nice crisp white linnen... More

My husband, 1.9 month old daughter had a lovely time. The stairs to the eating hall was a bit challenging with a toddler however breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly. The beds are bit worn out and towels too. It's a beautiful hotel, and walking distance to the beach and central town. It was ideal for us. Thank you!
