We spent 3 nights at the Beach Lodge in Swakopmund, which was just the right amount of time. It is located a little way out of town but this wasn't a problem for us as we had a car and the stunning ocean views more than made up for the short drive. The general staff here are fantastic and friendly,... more

Stayed one night in August and kicking myself for not booking earlier - would love to have stayed longer! Huge first floor self-catering room with ocean front view. Lovely furnished patio. Sea views (and sounds) were so relaxing. Fun sea-themed furniture. Most comfortable bed I've slept in since we got to Namibia. Extra bunk beds were in a closet area... more

We booked two rooms for two nights, one luxury. The luxury room had a huge bathroom, but otherwise little different to the standard room we booked. Fantastic views over the sea through huge windows and great sunsets. Good restaurant in the hotel and only a N$100 taxi ride into town, between 5 and 10 mins. Also recommend the Raft in... more

Unless you rent a car, i wouldnt recommend staying here as the location is slightly out of town, albeit on the shoreline with great views over the atlantic coast. That apart, i wouldnt recommend staying here; the staff being the main problem. Apart from 1 helpful and friendly receptionist, i was so frustrated dealing with the other staff in trying... more

I stayed at the Beach Lodge for three nights in the middle of January. Had originally wanted to stay in the centre of Swakopmund but the hotel I had wanted was full- luckily. Yes the hotel is out of town but only five minutes or so and as we had a car this was no problem. It is right on... more

Stayed for two nights in the luxury double room, the "Southern Cross". My husband and myself were very impressed with the excellent service provided by the staff, especially in the diningroom where we had breakfast and dinner. All the rooms overlook the beach as did our bathroom! We were a little concerned when we heard about the renovations, but these... more

Rather an odd place this. The plus point of its location is that it is quiet and situated directly on the beach, with views to match. The minus point is that it is well out of the town centre. The accommodation is rather oddly configured and is fitted with a burglar alarm! Breakfast is the only meal provided and was... more

Although it is located out of town, it is in a quiet, safe area, if you have your own transport it is a good choice. It is adequately furnished, with a small refrigerator, but no television. I also had to request a hairdryer, it does not come standard. The units are well-kept and nicely decorated. Breakfast is good, but they... more

This hotel was a real disappointment. Firstly it is located at least 6 kilometres from the centre of Swakopmund. Furthermore it is located in the residential area, which is currently being developed and looks like a building site. The beach is full of rubbish so don’t expect to have a nice walk. They do not provide a shuttle service and... more

We stayed here for two nights and wished it was more. We had requested a luxury room and were placed in the Montrose Suite which was indeed luxury and had obviously been designed as family accommodation. On the first floor there were two single beds and two bunk beds. Also, a small kitchen, breakfast bar, seating area and a nice... more
