We stayed at the Swakopmund Hotel whilst exploring the town and nearby Walvis Bay. According to me this is the best hotel in the town if you prefer bigger hotels and staying with hotel groups. The rooms are well appointed and everything you would expect from a good upper 4 star hotel. The pool facing rooms are very nice and... More

We stayed 2 nights in a Standard room on the first floor overlooking the very attractive pool and garden area. The room was comfortably furnished but felt very stuffy as the air conditioning blew hard but didn't cool even when set down on 18C. We opened the windows and it was actually cooler outside than in! We're rather concerned that... More

We arrived in the evening as a family of 10 people. We were assigned our rooms and then went out to dinner. When we returned from dinner at around 11pm we were told that they had accidentally assigned us too many rooms. They asked us to move out of one room. They were very rude about it despite it being... We only had a brick wall covered with barbed wire view from our room, that's why I've only rated the hotel only 4, but in all other aspects I would rate it 5. Beautifully appointed large modern room with every comfort, immaculately clean. Extensive Buffet breakfast with just about everything you could want, continental and cooked. For dinner we were... Most probably one of the better hotels in Swakopmund. Ideal hotel to discover Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. Personally prefer the lodges, but since this is a must-see area when visiting Namibia, I would still recommend this place. Good European-style breakfast. Misses the wow-factor which find at many good lodges in this country.

Old colonial hotel with a beautiful inner garden. Rooms are spacey, staff is friendly. Breakfast is standard like a European 3 star hotel. They offer tea and instant coffee, but you can also ask for capuccino. Not far away from main shopping area.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel... a beautiful building, not too far from beach, restaurants, shops (Swakopsmund is easy and quickly discovered during a stroll through the neighborhood). Room was spacious, we only had breakfast at the hotel and opted to make reservations for dinner somewhere else. Staff, compared to all the smiles at the lodges seemed very stiff... More

A very nice property; well-maintained; friendly and helpful staff, and a most excellent and complete included breakfast. Interesting architecturally as well; a former railroad station. The rooms were very comfortable, and the lobby area and the outdoor pool and surrounding comfortable lounge chairs very alluring.

As part of a 2 week tour of Namibia my wife and I spent 2 very comfortable nights in this hotel. It is a most interesting building built around a central courtyard. Our room was very pleasant, the restaurant was very good and the service excellent. It is not in the centre of town and it is not on the... More

Even though this hotel is a few blocks from the beach, it is a pleasant walk down there, and the downtown area is equally close. The grounds and common rooms are lovely, and the rooms are well decorated and cozy. Our room overlooking the pool area was delightful.
