I was a day guest at this hotel. Very nice view, friendly staff, great swimming pool. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay. The original building was the old railway station of swakopmund, beautiful historic building.

Stayed for business, really nice old building (train station) that was clean, neat, and quiet. My room had access to the courtyard which was a nice escape when needed. Staff catered for my every need, provided the business center service in my room so was able to conduct meetings all night without leaving my room. That was unique. Room service... More

Stayed here midway in a two week trip for two nights. Nice comfy rooms. Great water pressure and HOT water. Wonderful pool that the kids enjoyed even in winter. The pool is not heated. Breakfast buffet is great. Also ate at the pool and had great grilled cheeses and fries. Hotel is clean and very close walk to downtown.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel with a historical past, very beautiful building and extremely comfortable. Everything is perfect: location, accommodation, breakfast and service.

Coming out of the desert, what better place to stay than this lovely hotel, with comfortable rooms, good food, and being in a modern town with great amenities. Hard to believe one isn't in Europe. Friendly front desk staff and elegant restaurant.

The Swakopmund Hotel is a beautiful building ( previously a train station) and great hotel. I was very impressed with the front desk staff, who were extremely accommodating and able to answer all of our questions. The rooms were large and clean and there was free room Wi-Fi available. This hotel was actually the only place in Namibia where I... More

We so enjoyed our stay at this gracious, historical and architecturally stunning hotel. Our room was spacious and well appointed with easy access to pool and dining room. The breakfasts were really delicious with lovely fresh fruit and pastries as well as the usual hot choices. The staff were well trained and always friendly. Every morning we set off for... More

As a luxury travel writer for world-adventurer.com I've stayed in many "luxury" properties in Africa. Swakopmund Hotel astounds with its beautiful architecture and classic colonial rooms. Swakopmund is a colonial town, so there are several options to stay in colonial houses, but why not stay in the elaborately designed train station? Here are the highlights: - Building and History: The... More

Fabulous accommodations, standard kings spacious and comfortable. This beautiful old hotel, once a former train station, is a symbol of colonial excellence and the grace of the Namibian people. Every single servic encounter was gracious and helpful to a person, every staff member was there to ensure that your stay was wonderful. The restaurants and cocktail lounges are beautifully appointed... More
