This is a lovely hotel and especially interesting due to its history. Rooms were pleasant and clean and the staff were quite friendly. We ate breakfast and dinner here for two nights and enjoyed all the food. There was a very good choice too. Serving staff were efficient but quite stern although one waitor was very pleasant.

We appreciated the colonial flavour, the inner patio with a fountain/pool and palms, the very comfortable and well appointed rooms (but we had requested premium ones). The service was good and you could walk everywhere from the hotel. The gift shop was a nice surprise allowing to buy lovely gifts all in one place. Good choice.

We booked this hotel through an agent, so we did not know what to expect, but it was after all, an excellent surprise. The completely renovated old railway station features now an inner garden with a pool and palm trees all around. The rooms are ample, modern and very well equipped, without losing the old colonial character. Perhaps the restaurant... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel 2 years ago for a weekend (as a treat from the family). Although the rooms are slightly smaller than I would've imagined - it was a very pleasing experience. The Bathroom is just slightly cramped for 2 people... The highlight of our stay was the Breakfast buffet! So... More

This hotel is the best place in my opinion to use for abase to explore Swakopmund. The rooms are comfortable and serviced twice daily, they have a great breakfast offering and a pub in the main building. Everyone is friendly. The casino and movie house is right next door and you streaking distance from everywhere. In the morning you can... More

We stayed at the Swakopmund Hotel whilst exploring the town and nearby Walvis Bay. According to me this is the best hotel in the town if you prefer bigger hotels and staying with hotel groups. The rooms are well appointed and everything you would expect from a good upper 4 star hotel. The pool facing rooms are very nice and... More

We stayed 2 nights in a Standard room on the first floor overlooking the very attractive pool and garden area. The room was comfortably furnished but felt very stuffy as the air conditioning blew hard but didn't cool even when set down on 18C. We opened the windows and it was actually cooler outside than in! We're rather concerned that... More

We arrived in the evening as a family of 10 people. We were assigned our rooms and then went out to dinner. When we returned from dinner at around 11pm we were told that they had accidentally assigned us too many rooms. They asked us to move out of one room. They were very rude about it despite it being... We only had a brick wall covered with barbed wire view from our room, that's why I've only rated the hotel only 4, but in all other aspects I would rate it 5. Beautifully appointed large modern room with every comfort, immaculately clean. Extensive Buffet breakfast with just about everything you could want, continental and cooked. For dinner we were... Most probably one of the better hotels in Swakopmund. Ideal hotel to discover Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. Personally prefer the lodges, but since this is a must-see area when visiting Namibia, I would still recommend this place. Good European-style breakfast. Misses the wow-factor which find at many good lodges in this country.
