This is probably the best place to stay in Swakop. It's not my idea of the perfect hotel as it's a bit 'corporate' but if this is what you like it'll be fine. The Swakopmund Hotel used to be the old train station and the restaurant attached carries on this theme. The food was fine but not outstanding. The service was good. The room was very comfortable - light and spacious - and ours had a good-sized balcony overlooking the pool area. It was all very clean. The staff were helpful and polite.... more
