This was our second visit to Central Guesthouse in Swakopmund having visited in 2012. Breakfast is still great! I had the cinnamon pancakes both mornings - having remembered how nice they were from our previous trip. Our room was nice and comfy and having tv was a nice luxury after a while travelling with no telly. The staff are very... More

Central guest house is a very comfortable b&b, but you do very much feel like you are in someone's house. The rooms were large and clean. The cooked breakfasts were really tasty. Make sure you order when there and not just stick with the continental breakfast. Swakopmund is tiny, therefore pretty much anywhere you stay, you'll be really central. It's... More

This is a small bed and breakfast on a quiet street in swakopmund on a corner allowing good views. It's a short walk from the Main Street making it easy to stroll in and out to the main town centre. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They use nice african toiletries which we ended up buying up a few... More

Very conveniently situated just a few minutes walk from the main street of the attractive town of Swakopmund. Friendly and efficient staff ensure Central runs like clockwork. Smart and clean, there is a guest lounge with comfortable furniture and complimentary sherry in the evening. Free wi-fi in the public areas. Breakfast is excellent. There is a complimentary drinks station on... More

Dear TonyNorwich, thank you for writing a review. We are glad to hear that the service provided by our staff was friendly and efficient and that our Sherry, as well as breakfast was enjoyed. We do have reasons why our mini bars are not located inside the rooms, but will look into what you have mentioned and try and find... More

The room was beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a huge shower which was really powerful and very nice African toiletries. The staff were extemely helpful and arranged a desert trip at short notice which wasn't easy as it was the height of their season. The lounge area was comfortable and inviting with good wi -fi access. Breakfast... More

This guest house was ideal for us as a 2 night stopover to visit Walvis bay seals and dolphins and the skeleton coast. Comfortable and clean with cooked breakfast made to order and a wide variety of alternatives. The supply of free sherry in the lounge was very unusual but most welcome.Only drawback is that the area is prone to... More

Dear GeoffR, Thank you for taking the time to review our establishment on TripAdvisor. Central Guesthouse is well located within walking distance of central Swakopmund. The rooms are comfortable, clean and breakfast was good. Free wifi was also a bonus. We arrived very late in the night having had car trouble driving up from Solitaire (do *not* attempt this road in anything less than an SUV). Arriving at our room, the owner had prepared... More

Dear afcone, thank you very much for your review. It is extremely unfortunate that you experienced some car troubles on route from Soltaire, which indeed is quite a bumpy road to travel. We would however like to thank you that in spite of everything, a positive attitude was kept. Thank you as well for the good tip regarding packing some... More

In the midst of Swakopmund, modern house with smallish but comfortable enough rooms. We had very small bathrooms, but nice shower waterpressure. Breakfast was very good. Friendly staff. Wifi quite ok, in lobby strongest signal, but in our ground floor rooms still working
