We had really a wonderful stay at Ulala. Emma and George are very nice and sociable, their cousine excellent and the location is fantastic. The lodge is not luxurious but very confortable and furnished with very good taste. The place is very peaceful and relaxing...just a few bungalows, the beach, a lot of palms..the landscape takes your breath away. Hope... More

As a couple in much need for relax and quiet we could have not been luckier! Ulala is a fantastic eco-friendly yet super comfortable lodge. Kilometres on unspoilt and deserted beach provide a great setting for swims and walks. Emma and George are extraordinary: they are warm, friendly and discreet, the perfect hosts. We spent 7 nights there and struggled... More

As my travel buddy so apply put it- staying at Ulala with Emma and George was like staying with friends of friends. They were such a warm friendly couple - talking to them and hearing their stories really made the stay interesting. The meals were excellent. The living and dinning lodge and our room were all beautifully done- Emma's artistic... More

During our travel in Mozambique, we experienced quiet a lot of places to stay. None of them was like the night with you!! One of our last nights in Mozambique we stayed with Manu and Georg at the Ulala Lodge… it was a unforgettable, wonderful and very special night for us! Your Rooms and the Dining Area at the beach... One of the most memorable vacations in my life. Very authentic and unlike other places I've ever stayed at. Great surroundings, very kind and warm attitude from the owners. More

Emma and Georges have the most wonderful, warm, relaxed, casual but appropriately polished enterprise away from Pemba (but close enough for easy 20 minute transfers to and from the airport ) in a simply gorgeous natural setting that would be hard to replicate anywhere else in the world. This is a heavenly spot which functions beautifully because the accommodation is all... We spent three nights at Ulala at the start of our two week holiday in Northern Mozambique and had a wonderful time. Emma and Georges were great hosts and the food was delicious - our second night we were served the biggest lobsters I have ever seen and Emma's banana cake is out of this world! We stayed in the... We spent a wonderful time on one of the most beautiful beach in Nothern Mozambique. The bungalows are nicely decorated and Georges and Emannuelle, who own the place, are so nice with their guests that it is very difficult to leave. Georges likes to tell you about his long lasting experience with Africa and Emmanuelle prepares great meals with local... More

This was the first stop on our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. The French couple that owns it, Emma and Georges, were very welcoming and hospitable, and frankly fun to talk to. They are amazing cooks, dishing up delectable fresh fish on some nights and French cuisine on others. The hut we stayed in was perfectly placed near the... More

Stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it! Emma and Georges are a wonderful french couple, full of stories from their numerous round the world and especially Africa trips. Was enjoyable to chat with them during the long quiet evenings. We had a bungalow on stilts which was just stunning. It's not the cheapest but absolutely worth every penny,... More
