We have been back in the 'rat race' for just over three weeks now, and we miss the luxury and peacefulness of Massinga Beach Lodge. We stayed in the front suites, where the views over the sea were beyond spectacular. The impressively decorated rooms had crisp white linen, a "fall in-to" huge bed, a beautifully appointed bathroom with a romantic... More

After a long and hard year. my husband and I went to Massinga Beach for a week. We were aware that there was not much to do which was exactly what we needed for our holiday in Mozambique. Our room was lovely - far away from everyone, well appointed and very comfortable. Should we not feel like walking to the... More

After many years of searching for the perfect combination of luxury and desolation, we found it at Massinga Beach Lodge. We went for very long beach walks and never encountered a soul except a couple of very friendly local fisherman!! The view from all the rooms (including the toilet) is breathtaking. The staff was eager to cater to all our... More

The best possible location, impressive rooms with wonderful views over the sea, excellent bathrooms. Food and wines are simple, no particular entertainment. Just the luxury of life and beauty, without any useless gadget More

As a whole the rooms are perfect and very beautifully presented. However, they are spread very far from the main reception areas and the bar/eating areas. No torches are provided for you to use in the dark, or when walking to/from the restaurants/bar. They advertise each room having their own torch available! We asked for one but did not receive... We were a bit confused to start with because we booked through Kulula and they weren't really good with giving us all the information... Anyway, so first thing: we go on the website, which was poor at that time (it must have change) and not much of information... But after searching on the net, we found comments on tripadvisor that... Now that we are back from 7 days in Massinga Beach, I would like to comment on it, because some of the other comments maybe a bit misleading. Massinga Beach definitely deserves 5 stars or even more for the location and for the spacious rooms, overlooking the ocean with your private terrace and (small) pool on it. The beach is... More

What a stunning lodge. I highly recommend this little piece of paradise. Perfect couples retreat. What an absolutley amazing wedding venue. Beaches are untouched and unspoilt. Staff was very helpful and accommodating at all times. Was only there for 4 days, but felt like I had the most relaxing 10 day holiday. What a breath of fresh air. Huge seashells... More

It was my first trip to Mozambique and the experience was absolutely magnificent. We were welcomed at Massinga Beach Lodge with cocktails and breathtaking views of the ocean. Before heading for dinner we settled into our rooms.......each unit is private and free standing. No matter where you stood or sat in the unit you had views of the beach and... More

Massinga Beach Lodge is balm for the soul! With an excellent balance of privacy and staff awareness how can you go wrong? Spending four nights here was incredible pleasure - walking on the amazing untouched beach, eating glorious food and popping back and forth from our sun loungers into our private pool. We watched the amazing scenery from the deep... More
