The place is near a lake, which affords a beautiful walk with plenty of birds and even a possibility to rent a small paddle- or row-boat. The place is lovely with peacocks reigning over the courtyard and chicken and some other fowl cackling away in a small enclosure. We stayed at the Gite with friends and had a wonderful time. It was a little more rustic than we expected. Rooms were nice, clean and beautifully decorated. Bathrooms were surprisingly small, damp with no ventilation and a surprising lack of towels. The owner was there the first day - then we never saw him again. The staff was friendly... More

It's near a lake, not lake front. It does not have a pool, it's a "cement pond" that is not filtered or chlorinated, etc. It was dirty and only had 1 foot of water in it when we were there. This Was a strange experience: the Place Is charming, Both inside and out, and the food was very good (turkey tagine yum).
