My first visit to Morocco was made all the more enjoyable by our stay at the Dar Lazuli riad in Essaouira. Breathtakingly beautiful with authentic, tasteful, bright and charming decor, the Dar Lazuli was truly a home away from home for us five girls. Our apartment had simply THE most comfortable emperor-size bed and all of the ammenities needed, plus... More

Dar Lazuli has got to be the best place I have ever stayed. It's such a beautiful base from which to explore Essaouira and get fully immersed in Moroccan culture. The decor and design is beautiful. Rachid and Latifa are absolute stars and so so helpful. I cannot reccomend Dar Lazuli highly enough- I wish I was still there!!!

We were very comfortable in this lovely Riad. Six of us stayed in January to escape the damp and grey days in the UK. We had mostly sunny days which lifted our spirits. the Riad was clean and in a really convenient location close to the fascinating fishing port and with the most comfortable bed I have slept in away... Second time staying in this beautifully restored Dar on the sunny coastal side of the ancient medina. I wanted to get some sun and surfing and both were achieved, I travelled a bit had amazing kite surfing in Essaouira and surfing down south but the true highlight of the trip was the house itself. Spotlessly clean, amazingly comfortable and very... More

We came for three days and this stunning Riad is perfectly positioned and incredibly comfortable. The view from the terrace at sunset is beautiful and it's a great place to stay as there's space to chill out when not exploring the town. Rachid and Latifa are so helpful as well and we'll definitely be back!

5 of us had a very enjoyable stay at the beautifully well equipped and peaceful Dar Lazuli in October. The rooms were well furnished and kept exceptionally spotless each day by the lovely Latifah. We were lucky enough to have the three terraces at the top of the Riad which were a treat to have breakfast/a glass of wine on.... More

We spend two beautiful weeks in August at Dar Lazuli. We were six (family and friends) and occupied the whole riad. The house offers comfort, elegance, welcoming atmosphere and cleanness at its best. It is located in the middle of the Medina, on a small and narrow street which, as so often the case in Marrokko, does not anticipate the... More

Dar Lazuli was a lovely place to stay in Essaouira. Beyond the unsightly little alley in the old city is this cute and well maintained riad. The housekeeper staff Rachid and Latifa were very friendly and welcoming. They did a brilliant job cleaning for us and answering any queries we had, not to mention the amazing chicken tagine they made... More

We have stayed in a large number of different styles of accommodation - we first stayed as Dar Lazuli last year and enjoyed the stay so much - that when we decided to visit the town again this year - we did not consider going anywhere else.
