I have to say that Dar Lazuli truely was a beautiful place to stay. We rented three of the four suites and were very happy with them. The only bad point was that the rooms and matresses were alittle bit damp, but the building is over 200 years old so i guess this is to be expected. Rachid and Latifa... more

We stayed at Dar Lazuli for 3 nights in May. The riad is beautiful and in an excellent location. We stayed in the Calima apartment and we were the only guests at the time so it was very quiet and peaceful, a little oasis from the busy streets outside. The riad is beautifully furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Rachid... more

We are regular visitors to Morocco and this was our second visit to Essaouira. We stayed in the ground floor appartment with our 2 and half year old son. The accomodation is extremely well laid out, with a large bedroom, good sized living room (that doubled as a bedroom for our son), kitchenette (that had everything you would need if... more

My husband and I stayed at Dar Lazuli 3 nights in March. The location is excellent for exploring all the best sights in Essaouira from this tranquil, quiet haven. We stayed in the Calima apartment which was beautiful and really clean. The bathroom is especially lovely with a huge shower and also a lovely sitting down area with a fireplace... more

Dar Lazuli really is a wonderful place to stay. The apartment was beautiful, authentic Morocco and all you needs are looked after. Situated right in the Medina in Essaouira it's a brilliant location. Would not hesitate to go back again!! more

Beautiful house in a great location and very reasonably priced. Four self-catering apartments with communal terrace. Would be the ideal place to book out with a group of friends/family and have the whole place to yourselves. Decor is minimal but cosy, lots of white with quirky and colourful touches. Perfect place for lounging and relaxing, and the roof terrace is... more

Dar Lazuli is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed, and it was wonderful to have such an oasis of peace and calm to retreat to from all the bustle of the streets. The Dar is light, bright and airy with beautiful and thoughtful touches in decor. We stayed in the Calima apartment, which like all the apartments... more

Dar Lazuli was the highlight of our stay in Morocco. Travelling as group of 5 friends we arrived from the hustle bustle of Marrakesh to the tranquil Dar Lazuli and Essaouira. It turned out to be a great place to get immersed in the unique Moroccan lifestyle in the heart of the old town. Essaoiura is relaxed friendly, accommodating and... more

After spending the previous week and a half travelling around Morocco, we were looking forward to spending the last few days of our trip (and Christmas!) relaxing in Essaouira. Dar Lazuli was a little more expensive then we had originally anticipated spending, but was worth every penny! We had the apartments Sirocco and Calima for three nights and were very... more

We booked this riad a little unsure of what to expect. We hadn't intended on going self catering but decided to go for it as it was such a reasonable price. The riad is just inside the medina wall very near to Villa Maroc. Our appartment was on the ground floor, it had a kitchen, bathroom with shower, bedroom, dining... more
