Absolutely fantastic stay in Dar Lazuli. Superb value for money. Took the 'Calima' suite with very large shower, extremely comfortable bed, working fireplace and plenty of living room. Highlight was definitely the attentive but not intrusive service from Latifa and Rachid. Latifa's cooking is great, too. Spotlessly clean and very quiet. Highly recommended. More

We stayed here for three nights prior to returning to Marrakesh for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed this as a fantastic, private base in Essaouira. We arrived late but didn't have to wait long for Rachid to meet us in the alleyway outside the main door - a bit dark and ominous on first arrival but you soon get your... More

After spending 3 nights in Marrakech it was bliss to arrive Camila our wonderful apartment. We received a wonderful welcome form Latifa and Rachid who were excellant hosts, very helpful and the apartments and Riad were spotless. Our apartment Camila was great very spacious and the contemporary Moroccan decor was very relaxing, especially the kingsize bed and duck down duvet.... More

This was our first stop on a 2 week tour around morocco. We stayed for 3 nights, and wish it could have been longer. The taxi parked up just outside the medina walls, and a "baggagista" (man with cart) wheeled our bags and guided us to Dar Lazuli, just a couple of minutes walk away. Rachid & Latifah were there... We rented all 4 appartments for a weeks stay and what a treat we had! We were greeted on the first night by Rashid and Latifa who made us feel instantly welcome with their big smiles and eagerness to help. Latifa served us with a delicious tagine for our first evening meal, which was most appreciated after a long day... More

Just spent a great 2 days in Dar Lazuli. The apartments are all well designed, and the external terraces are excellent. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable. Wish we'd stayed longer - the peace of this place after Marrakech was a welcome respite. Highlight was the location - very close to the main square, beach and port. Also it was easy... More

I've never written a trip advisor review before but we had such a wonderful time staying at Dar Lazuli that I couldn't resist! We stayed in Calima and the apartment was beautifully decorated, very well thought out (big walk in shower, massive bed!) with lots of great touches like tealights and games, perfect for a cosy evening in. The riad... More

We had the most amazing four days at Dar Lazuli. The location was fantastic just minutes away from the sea. The apartment was spotless and extremely comfortable - we could not have asked for anything more. The apartment has been cleverly designed and finished off to a high standard we loved the open fireplace, large walk-in shower and cosy soft... More

After four nights in Marrakech, it was a joy to arrive in windswept Essaouira. Dar Lazuli was so easy to find with Rachel's excellent pre-journey information and when Latifa ushered us in with a huge welcoming smile, we knew we had made a brilliant choice. We stayed in Scirocco on the ground floor and loved the cool, spotlessly clean interior... More

We have just spent a wonderful week in Essaouira with our children, aged 4 and 18 months. It was our second visit to Dar Lazuli (this time with two kids) and the accommodation is excellent for a family like ours. We had the downstairs apartment Scirocco, which can comfortably sleep a child and a baby in a cot, and the... More
