awesome roof terrace. the town is always cool and windy so no worries about aircon--no place has it, but you don't need it. the beds were super comfy and firm, which i love. our room was huge. the bathroom in the triple is private, which is awesome since other rooms have to share. it was small, but perfectly adequate. we... We stayed in essaouira three extra days just so we could stay at this place! Abdul and taz's hospitality, friendliness and easy going attitudes made us feel like we were with old friends back home. Dar afram is an exciting place and you can make it what ever you want, from chilling out and escaping during the day on the... More

There are many riads to choose from in Essaouira, many of which have similar sized rooms and similarly decorated. Dar Afram is in a great location close to the shopping streets, the ramparts which are a great place to sit and take in the sea air, the port and a large plaza with cafes. The staff are very friendly and... More

We had been in Imlil for a few days and wanted somewhere a bit livelier. As soon as you arrive you are made welcome by everyone and anyone that happens to be staying at the time. I think that the owners must make everyone feel friendly? A simple but nice breakfast served on the roof terrace on the morning, music... More

We had a wonderful stay at Dar Afram. The rooms are lovely and clean, the Riad is located centrally in the Medina. You will enjoy the great savory breakfast. I really recommend to try the optionally available dinner with every delight you can imagine. If you are interested you could even learn how to prepare such a nice menue. And... More

Absolutely top notch!! I was planning to stay in Essaouira for a few days, and initially booked another Riad online for the first couple of nights. I met Taz and Abdul at the local tea house, and asked them for pointers in the town. Fortunately they pointed me to their wonderful Dar Afram. I visited them that evening and was... More

We got off the bus in Essaouira having no place to stay. Luckily for us Taz from Riad Dar Afram was there to save the day and brought us to his beautiful Riad. We stayed there for four days soaking up the sun on the roof top gazing out at the sea view. The rooms are tastefully furnished and very... More

I absolutely loved my stay at Dar Afram - great hospitality, nice people, very good breakfast (especially when you carry your tray all the way up to the roof terrace!) and the music never seems to stop at this place! Although Essaouira is anyways not big and distances are close from almost all places, the neighbourhood is really nice and... More
