Arriving by bus in Essaouira means being attacked by a gang of fake guides interested in getting you "a cheap room"... We took our guide and it suggested this nice riad (which feels more like a villa). We got there the friendliest welcome in all of Morroco : nice smile, great advices and a tea with sweats!! We knew right... More

We stayed here in july 2007 and loved our stay. The riad is located in a rather unattractive street in Essaouira, but once inside it's all very beautifull. Our room was really cozy and nicely decorated, with the typical marrocan tiled bathrooms. Everything was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing (best we had in marroco)... Located in the middle of the Medina, this is quite a comfortable Riad. Breakfast and dinners are great, in real traditional Moroccan style. Suggest not to take one of the street facing rooms as they are very noisy. The service could be improved as it is at times a bit unprofessional, although nice. More

We booked this Riad through the Agency that is in charge of the Riad Maison Do in Marrakech. Essaouira is much smaller and less caotic than Marrakech, so the location - in the heart of the medina - was perfect. The Riad was OK, nothing compared with the one in Marrakech. The room was ok, we do not have problem... More

On arrival by bus into Essaouira we were promptly picked up by one of the Riad staff. After a short walk we reached Dar Nafoura and were warmly greeted by hosts Sylvie and Jackey. This is a lovely, comfortable riad decorated in a simple country style. It genuinely felt like being in someone's home. All the staff at Dar Nafoura... More

As per the previous complaint, i think we must have had the same room, it smelt damp, there were no windows and the bed sheets were stained and threadbare. The staff were unhelpful, we left one hour or so after arrival. More

The hotel is easy to find from Bab Marrekech - it's signposted all the way, and a short walk from the Supratours drop off. The staff were very friendly, and on check in sat us down, gave us tea and a small cake, and explained all the sights in Essaouira. Our room on the third floor was okay, although it... More
