After seeing four goats up a tree and then having a great fish dinner on the beach we were ready for a bit of rest. we were not prepared for the grat hospitality we got at this Riad. 1st you need to hire a wagon to carry your luggage if you have a bit. we were on a 4 week... More

We have just returned from Essaouira and stayed at the riad for 2 nights. Our room was just perfect for the4 of us and we all slept so well. The room is very calming so ideal when you've been in the hustle and bustle of the medina. The staff there are so helpful and took time to give us directions... More

We stayed recently for two nights, and concur with the other reviews about the helpful owner and his assistant, Hayat. We enjoyed a spacious room, loved the breakfasts on the terrace (the cook gets up early each morning to make a delicious farina pancake called A Thousand Holes) complete with homemade marmalades and jams, fresh orange juice, crepes, etc and... We stayed for four nights and had a fabulous time. It is a great place to stay within the city walls and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spacious and creatively designed which added to the calm atmosphere. Breakfasting on the roof is a real treat, looking out across the town is a great way to... More

Stayed for four nights over Easter as part of an 11 day tour. This is an oasis of calm and tranquility inside the city walls. Very well located Jean Gabriel and the staff are all very welcoming and are rightly proud of what they have created. There is a lot of attractive art work around and the Riad is reflective... More

You could not fault anything about the the place, the rooms were luxurious and tastefully decorated throughout and the beds comfortable. Jean-Gabriel made us most welcome and was a mine of information and advice. We were very impressed by his assistant Hayat,... More

Riad Watier is tucked down a side street close to the Medina and to the sea front. So close that when the wind really blows, the spray makes it into the central courtyard. Jean Gabriel and his staff are really helpful in advising on places to go and things to see, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and individual, and if... More

We stayed at Riad Watier from 2-4 February, and would recommend it most highly. Jean-Gabriel the owner and his efficient assistante Hayat were on hand whenever we required with hints, advice and conversation. The Riad is beautifully decorated in the seaside colours of Essaouira, with a beautiful roof aspect for breakfast and just lazing around. It is a traditional Riad... More
