The hotel is just off a side substreet, quite a narrow turning which we stumbled on after asking for many directions. The hotel inside is beautiful with the small fountain in the middle. The wifi is only limited to the front reception, which when your room is on the 3rd floor can be a tad restricting.

The rooms are very dark and smell really bad. The beds are uncomfortable and the sheets are dirty. The breakfast is extremely disgusting. The roof our what they call their "terrasse" is dirty, the lights are broken and when you're sitting in it, it feels like you're intruding on the residents of the suite. For the suite it looks more... More

This riad was terrible absolutely awful. It smelt of mould and the air was stale. The rooms stunk, the bathroom smelt of sewage and had mould growing up the walls. I saw bugs in the room ( I think a cockroach although not sure) and the room was run with ants. we checked out a day early. I noticed a... More

We arrived quite late (23:00) in Essasouira and decided to tag along with some other (Italian) tourists we met in the CTM bus. We tried to take a taxi to the medina but they kept on trying to charge us 40 dirham (10 each) for a five minute ride. So we ended up walking). The Italian couple had booked a... More

The excellent ratings and remarks about this great little riad are well deserved. It was very reasonably priced, very pretty and spotlessly clean. The staff are delightful. Essaouira is a wonderful place, offering a little of everything: souk, medina, beach, history, bustling fishing port, relaxed friendly locals. If you do eventually feel as if the magical madness of Marrakech is... More

One of the locals brought us to this riad when we first arrived in Essaouira. First of all, let me say that I am head over heels with the whole town and have every intention of going back to Morocco & dedicating most of my stay to Essaouira. They don't call it the "happy hippie city" for nothing, you will... More

We were met at the bus by a woman who had a card in her hand and asked if she could take us to this riad. She was relentless and convinced us we could look at the rooms and if we did not like them she would leave us alone (everyone works on a commission in Morocco). We liked the... More

We arrived in Essaouira with no accom bookings - we checked out a few hotels recommended by the LP but were unimpressed. Going against normal judgement we allowed a tout to show us a hotel - he took us here. It was fantastic: clean, comfortable room with hot water; free internet; typical breakfast (simple but acceptable); and at 250dhm we... More

The location is very good and the riad looks and feels nice at first but the room smelled of damp and sewage (damp is a problem in all of Essaouira, but not all riads smell!). At the 1st breakfast the waiter got leery and very personal as soon as he realised I was a woman on my own. When I... More
