We arrived in Essaouira with no accom bookings - we checked out a few hotels recommended by the LP but were unimpressed. Going against normal judgement we allowed a tout to show us a hotel - he took us here. When I made a resevation for this riad by email 1 month prior to arrival, I asked if any credit card details or deposit were required, as well as directions from the car park. The response by email was that no further confirmation is needed, and that the riad is centrally located and easy to find. We arrived at 3pm... more
