We stayed at La Maison des Artistes for 3 days and had great experience. Like the name suggests the whole place has an artistic feel about it, it's full of interesting pictures, sculptures and unusual ways of decorating unusual rooms. The owner is warm and welcoming, the staff very helpful. Some of the rooms have a view on the ocean.... More

One of the best places to stay when in Essaqiura. We stayed in the Ceasar loft which is right at the top of this magnificent riad. The views are exceptional looking over the ramparts and the ocean. With our own private terrace offering views over Essaqiura on one side and the ever changing ocean on the other we really didn't... More

As we wrote in our review following last May's all too brief visit to this riad, we have indeed returned - this time increasing our stay to 3 nights! This relaxing, delightfully quirky accommodation again met all our high expections. All the other 'Excellent' reviews, including our previous one, sum up all that Isabelle has achieved. We can feel the... More

Isabelle runs a wonderful place, overlooking the ramparts of the old medina. She could not have been more helpful and welcoming and ensures the whole atmosphere is warm and easy. Each room has an individual character with many old artefacts. Excellent breakfast served on the terrace and overlooking the sea. When we were there the air coming off the ocean... More

The house is definitely worth to spend more days. Very stylish and cozy. We regret we could only stay there for only one night. It's really relax to sleep in a room with see view and listen the sea hitting the rocks. We had a great experience in the guesthouse. Definitely recommended!! One of the best riad we stay in... We just loved this place and are planning to visit again. Slightly shabby but all the better for it, totally original and interesting, in a perfect location with the best views of the sea and the sunset. Enchanting. Great breakfast too - you won't need lunch!

Our third visit to amazing Essaouira - a city that has something for everyone. However, it was our first visit to this fabulous gem of a find for accommodation. From the moment we received a genuinely friendly welcome to when we all too soon had to leave to continue our 3 week tour, we felt so relaxed and comfortable. The... More

Very nice riad located within the medina. Excellent terrace with an incredible view on the sea. The rooms are very nice the most expensive with a beautiful view, the cheaper without windows. Excellent breakfast.

If you are looking for a typical riad from which to explore the souks of Essaouira then look no further. My room was full of interesting furniture, pictures and artefacts. I'm a artist myself and got so much inspiration just from inside the riad, let along outside in the souks. The staff were lovely and breakfast sat out on the... More

"La maison des artistes" is the paradise!! It is one of the beautiful places, I have ever been, cute, french and moroccan style. Sophisticated. The owner is a wonderful lady and it is a pleasure to talk with her. If you are planning a trip to Morocco, so you have to go to Essaouira, authentically than Marrakech and you also... More
