I have visited Essaouira 3 or 4 times and each time I go back....I book into Riad Al Zahia. The staff are young and warm and friendly. The Riad is very nice (clean, cool interiors and furniture) and the location is easy to find in the medina (anyway the first time must be showed by someone). We thought the staff terrific but the nature of a riad without modern ventilation or windows to the street is of course, not exactly airy. Not a bad deal but classic riad architecture needs further development to be comfortable to me. more

We just came back fro a short holiday in Morocco. Our stay in essaouira was great and the Riad Al Zahia amazing. We didn´t spect such a calm place in the middle of the medina, room was very spacefull and lightfull, richly decorated in a moroquian style with all the facilities. Riad Al Zahia turned out to be a great choice.
