I was looking forward to staying here because of most of the reviews. However the bed was as hard as concrete. We requested two beds and my friend slept on a small sofa. I piled all my clothes and blankets under me to be able to get some rest.. Tthe manager moved us the next day but the bed was... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lalla Mira, if you are willing to spend the extra cash, the suites on the top floor are a great bet. We had the suite with its own balcony which was a suntrap and made a fantastic escape from the medina. Late afternon when the sun had left our balcony we headed to... more

I found Lalla Mira on a guidebook , was a bit stressed about having to walk around finding a place to stay in Essaouira sto i studied the map and founded straight away. Staff ( mostly women, a nice change for Morocco) was very helpful , set a boy with a cart with me to fetch the bags , gave... more

My friend had stayed there earlier and apparently had a similar situation...The hotel itself is cute and the breakfast was good...it's in a good location and had a lot of style and charm. BUT...the rooms on the alleyway were noisy all night long with people in the street...and they have plenty of stickers advertising that they take credit cards, but... more

I loved everything about this place - my room, the staff, and the food. My single was bigger than I expected, with a high ceiling, a sofa and coffee table, and a big, comfortable, four-poster bed. The yellow spread, with blue flowers, matched the cushions. Heavy, floor-length drapes of what looked like natural wool covered the window and door. I... more

I quite simply have never stayed anyway with such friendly and attentive staff. Our room was beautiful and there is a sweet central courtyard and roof space. Extremely good location, albeit that tends to make it a little loud in the evenings but I enjoyed the buzz and it was Ramadan/Eid so that may have contributed to the noise. Lovely... more

Very beautiful and large suite with careful attention to details, worth its price (82 euros). Very good breakfast. Discontinous attendance. more

The location was excellent - only 5 minutes from the Supratours bus station and 10 minutes from the beach. We stayed in a mini-suite which gave us plenty of space but the noise from the alleyway outside until late at night, was awful even with the windows shut. The terrace was small but well fitted out with sunbeds and sofas... more

On our first trip to Morocco we had decided staying in riads would be best for us. After our first night in Marrakech where we stayed in a magical tucked away riad which we loved we were hoping our riad in Essauoira would offer the same charm. It did not. We had booked one of the suites and the room... more

First the good things about this place. It's in a good location in the medina and its eco-friendly policy is commendable. Our room had an outside wall and was a good size but rooms do vary in size and some, particularly on the inside, are quite small. The restaurant is small but excellent and offers simple, well-cooked food using freshly... more
