We chose this hotel for it's location, great for the beach,(just across the road) and 200yds from the medina. Art deco style interior (Orson Welles stayed here in 1949, the rooms are fine and the reception staff are very helpful. breakfast is more continental but there is a lady who cooks crepes while you wait.. Dinner is waiter service and... More

I used to work with a factory down the road from the hotel and stayed here many times in the late 80's & early 90's when there were few hotels and fewer tourists. Their morning breakfast of a crossiant, coffee and tangerine juice was amazing

Location could not be better. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, linens nice, water hot, plumbing worked, air conditioning adequate, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average for mid level Morocco hotel. Pool was fine, even though we were a bit early in the season. Two levels with only stairs for the upper, so if that's a problem, be sure to... We have just returned after 4 nights in Marrakesh and 7 nights in Essaouira. Hotel des Iles was wonderful. Nice pool, grounds and bigger spaces. Very helpful and friendly staff who tried their best to make us feel special. The rooms are clean and have everything we needed. Location is perfect so close to the medina and beach.

The Hotel is situated right at the beach and the medina. Very nice rooms und friendly, helpful staff. Nice garden with a pool and even a little playground. Many rooms have seaview. We arrived at Agadirairport and the Hotel organized the shuttle.

We stayed at Des Iles for 7 nights 23rd Jan - 1st Feb 2015. The room was slightly old fashioned but clean. For the first 3 days we had no hot water and it was only when I got angry and requested to move to another hotel that we were allowed to have a shower in another room. ..Des Iles... More

We have stayed in this hotel 3 times and love it. The staff are friendly and the hotel has character. Its position is excellent only 100 metres from the Medina. The rooms are large and we found them very clean. Yes there are a few idiosyncracies but they seem to add to the charm. Hope to make it 4 visits... More

We really liked the layout of the rooms. Numerous electrical outlets to charge cameras, readers and etc. So often missing in most hotels. Excellent location to the medina, fishing wharf and the beach. Breakfast is skimpy but adequate.

The best thing about this hotel is its location right across the street from the beach. The pool area is also very nice. Other than that, the hotel is dated. In my room the shower curtain rod was rusted as was the area around the drain in the bathtub. There was only one plug in the bedroom and it didn't... More

Orson Welles photos in the restaurant tell the story. Grand old hotel now poorly maintained. Old stained carpets, dark halls, damp, doors don't even close in the room. wifi only in lobby though it is good in that area. breakfast is poor, scrambled eggs were good, but the breads were stale. Service at our group dinner slow, the lamb ball... More
