Madada Mogador is a gem of a boutique hotel. Located in the medina of Essaouira it boasts wonderful sea views from it's roof terrace and most of the guest rooms. Christelle and her team run a top notch operation delivering the highest levels of service with an impressive attention to detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a minimalist style... more

Madada Mogador is a wonderful place from which to see Essaouira. Like many of the hotels in Morocco, it is tucked away down a little alley and you have to climb up an old stone staircase to get to the front door, so you feel that you really are heading into the heart of the country. The rooms are very... more

Booked this as part of a twin centre holiday in Morocco, in combination with Marrakesh. We were collected at the airport in Marrakesh with a transfer organised by the hotel and for an hour and a half transfer in a private taxi it only cost £40 which I thought was well worth it. Stayed in the Cherifa suite for 4... more

We stayed 11 night in the fantastic Cherifa Suite (but ALL THE ROOMS are incredibly big and all with big tadelakt bathtube... better: all the riad is tadelakt finished). The riad is finely designed, the interior are warm and elegant. It seems to be into an interior magazine. The room is simply beautyful with an elegant dressing and a big... more

We stayed at this riad for 3 nights. We had a few problems getting to Essaouira and finally arrived, tired but happy, around 1:30am. We got to the Riad and there was nobody there...The owner left her phone number on the door to call her and we had to wake her up...So be aware, if you arrive later then 8pm,... more

Having stayed a week at Madada Mogador, we both feel so relaxed and chilled out! After 3 days in Marrakech we were ready for a slower pace and some peace & quiet. We stayed in the Assala room, which had lovely high ceilings, a massive bath and a really comfortable bed. Although we didnt have our own terrace (there wasnt... more

We stayed here on part of my husbands 40th birthday, it really was a lovely place to choose, the hotel is close to the beach. Having breakfast on the terrace with the beach views was magical. The breakfast was good, Christelle the English speaking owner was so helpfull, she advised us of restaurants to go to and sights to see... more

We arrived at Madada after a stay at the fabulous Riad Jonan in Marrakech. Madada was double the price so our expectations were high. When we arrived we discovered that the English speaking owner, Christelle was going to be away for 2 days so there was noone around who could speak much English. This was not ideal, but hey. We... more

We stayed 5 nights last April 2008. Madada Mogador is a beautiful place to relax and experience heaven... We loved the nice welcome of the staff, the gorgious breakfast on the terrace in front of the bay, the cosy room ... Everything was perfect day after day. You just have to take advantage of the location to walk around Essaouira,... more

Very friendly hotel in a great location with an amazing roof terrace with great views over the beach. Lovely breakfast which was much nicer than the 5star hotel one we had in Marrakesh, the owners also own the adjacent restaurant which is also very nice. more
