This riad is infested with bedbugs. The staff is friendly, but some if them do not speak english. There is a lot of noise from the street at night if you choose a room on that side. The rooftop has a nice view.

Rented out the entire riad for 4 days, so just some friends and I so no staff around. (Cannot comment on service). Although beautiful, it was damp and needed a good scrub over! The rooms were very dark and the shower was more like a dribble. I'm sure the staff were lovely, however the riad's facilities leave much to be... More

Very traditional type riad. Great for younger travellers, but it's very open and therefore very noisy, i wouldn't recommend it if you're travelling with children. Rooms were sparse but had what we needed. Staff were very kind and very helpful. Location is excellent, walking distance to the main markets and to the beach. Beautiful views from the rooftop terrace!

We had booked for three nights and the location, prices and suite we booked were good. This is a cheap Riad but we were disappointed on arrival to be told our room wasn't available until the following day. We had asked for a double with an extra bed but were given a room with three single beds. The room had... More

You will not get more helpful and friendly people... We stayed here based on the reviews we had read and had initially planned to stay 2 nights, but ended up staying for 6 because it was a great base to have and perfect for the genuine backpacker.. The Riad is lovely and the rooms are big. We had a room... More

We found the hotel through TripAdvisor, looking at some of the bad reviews, we felt uneasy. However I am glad we gave this place a chance. The location of the Riad is unbeatable. Located in the centre of the medina, no more than 5-7min walk to the beach. You are in essence at the heart of all that's to see... More

Lovely cosy riad with incredibly welcoming staff. Really good location in the medina, just off the main shopping route and but really close it it, and easy to avoid if you like. Roof terrace with most amazing sea view, close enough to the sea to hear waves at night. I arrived at night in the first rainstorm in 3 years,... More

We got to Essaouira pretty late at night (around 2:30 am), but luckily we could call the riad and someone came to get us (because none of the few people we met on the streets knew where it was). It is located in the middle of the medina, very close to all the shops/restaurants, easy to get everywhere from there.... More

We stayed at Riad El Mess for three nights and had a great time. Though the medina of Essaouira is pretty small anyways, this particular riad is very centrally located for the beach and shopping and for Bab Marrakesh. The guys working the desk were really nice and helped us find our way around and even carried our bags upstairs.... More

Receive a cordial greeting. We made a reaervation for this hotel Riad El Mess which accordingly to the map is located in casablanca near the train station. The real address of the hotel is in essaouira. Another city in morroci. The reservation is under the name of tzevetelina hadjipetkova. We sincerely appreciate that you correct the location of the hotel... More
