I stayed seven nights at El pacha. It was clean and comfortable at all times and was a relaxing place to stay. Friendly, welcoming staff. It is a large three story riad with a big roof terrace with views over the medina and out to the ocean. Excellent location close to the souk and cafes and restaurants. Breakfast available for... The place is very well located, close to everything. The room is dark and without windows, so prepare to feel like a vampire. The room and the bathrooms could be better cleaned. And definitely they should not allowed people to smoke inside the building. Te breakfast is Ok, the girl who works in the front desk is nice and really... More

Dar El Pacha is a very social, clean, and engaged hostel. The entire staff knew the names and hometowns of all of the guests and they were always willing to take us out and feed us delicious meals! My friend and I were only supposed to be in Essaouira for three days and we ended up staying for three weeks!... More

Room is really dark. No furniture to put your clothes or luggage, the bed was confy though. The Bathroom was a bit cold for showers. I's a beautiful building asking for some painting and maintenance. The terrace has a huge potential, deserves some furniture up there! One BIG complain, you should not allow people smoke inside the place! This is... More

Really cheap place but not if you're not used to 'backpacker's places'. A bit dark and stuffy. Not very clean. The rooms are always open and they smoke inside. Shared bathrooms with hot water (+). Very good location, although the entering into the hostel could be quite strange and seems t be dangerous. Nice staff and a really nice view... More

Very unclean and overflooded with water when it rains. Manager is weird and creepy. He was confusing and made us feel very uncomfortable. Nice personnel couldnt unleash their friendliness because they were suppressed by the manager. Bathrooms are not nice and there is no hot water.

Very central hostel, nice place, but was not very cleaned. The position and the personals are friendly. In some rooms aint power connection (there are, but are broken). Generally, at that price (6€ x day) thats good

Do not stay at this hotel/hostel!!! It is so dark and dingey, it was like they never clean there. Everywhere was dirty. The bed sheets were dusty and the bathroom on the 2nd floor smelt so bad you couldn't shower in there, also the showers had no heads on them so they were basically just hoses. The worst part is... we spent 2 nights in this hostel and took a double room without shared toilet and shower. The rooms and bathroom are quite clean for Marocco standards and alllways have soap and toilet paper (quite difficult to find in Marocco toilets) but could be better. Rooms have no windows on the street, just on the internal patio, which gives some... More

I stayed here for 4 nights after being in Morocco for two weeks. The main redeeming feature about the hostel is the staff who are polite and friendly. Otherwise the hostel is a dump. My room had beds squashed together so they were touching, I had to climb over 3 beds to get to my bunk. The showers on the... More
