Would recommend a stay at Riad Malaika to everyone staying in windy Essaouira. Abdul, the manager and the Ladies in the kitchen are all smiles and Will helt with anything, including guidance on carpet and argan oil shopping.

The staff were lovely very friendly and proffessional, we were met off the bus and our bags put in a little cart and walked to our riad. The rooms were spotless; the towels big and fluffy and the complimentary soaps yummy. It was beautifully decorated and we were very warmly welcomed; the breakfasts were delicious and the riad and the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in this beautiful Riad on our first visit to Essouira in mid February. We got the bus from Marrakech and one of the staff members met us at the bus station with a trolley for our bags. As soon as we entered we were welcomed by the manager and with a hot pot of mint... Magnifique! :) Like all businesses. Start with the people. The owners, Sylvie and Piermark run this riad with incredible passion and care. Equally their team. The best. Attending to every need and always on hand with a smile, a greeting, offers of advise, refreshments. You cannot put a price on this service level. You cannot put a price on what... More

The Riad Malaika is conveniently located in the Medina of Essaouria so that you can walk to the various shops, restaurants, the sea and the harbour within a few minutes. The Riad was providing us with a detailed map upon Check In, as all the small streets in Essaouria seemed on the first glance a bit confusing. But you will... More

We loved our stay in this Riad. It has a beautiful and classy Arabic interior, which makes it feel like a quality experience. The room was very comfortable. The staff was gracious and the dinner we had there was like eating in a 5 star restaurant. The host was very friendly and helped us to understand a little of Moroccan... More

We had two rooms on the top floor in December, the biggest downside being having to walk up the stairs past the kitchen with delicious French-Moroccan fusion wafting through the air at all hours of the day. The hospitality is notable for its attentiveness and elegance, and things are prompt, thanks to the wonderful French owners.

The highlight of our ten days in Morocco! The Riad is beautiful and the manager and staff are just so helpful and lovely! The room was gorgeous, just loved the whole experience. We ate dinner there one night - Amina is an excellent cook. The dinner was our best in Morocco by far and was beautifully presented and cooked with... More

We stayed in this little gem for one night on our recent trip to Morocco. We received mint tea on our arrival and the staff gave us lots of great info on what we could do during our stay. The room was absolutely gorgeous, spotless and beautifully decorated with little touches to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious... More

Beautiful riad, elegantly restored, owners very attentive and the ladies in the kitchen do a splendid job with lovely free local ingredients. The set evening menu is delicious but we struggled with the quantity offered. Owners emailed in advance to check how and when we were arriving and to offer any help. We were offered a choice of rooms on... More
