The Riad is well situated (right in the heart of the Medina), service is good (always friendly and welcoming) and the room was by the far the best we stayed in while on holiday in Morocco - big, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The only slight complaint I had is that it can be a little noisy in the morning... More

Great location, very warm welcome, nothing is too much, even moving the beds around. The food is is the best we have ever had in Morocco, thank you for an excellent stay. The riad is ideally situated to discover this delightful port.

I am glad that I waited to be back home to write this review as I can now compare the quality of this Riad with the one we stayed at in Marrakech. What is best at Riad Malaika ? It is hard to tell. Is it the nice Moroccan decor of the rooms and the common areas? The convenient location... More

Beautiful, elegant & comfortable Riad decorated & furnished with impeccable taste & attention to detail & run by very warm & hospitable owner (Sylvie) & staff. The location is quiet & convenient & staff are excellent, offering a great breakfast & some of the best food we had in Essaouira for dinner with exceptional attention to detail & care. The... More

We were very nicely surprised by this Riad (after a disappointment in Marrakech). The owner/manager Sylvie (?) was super nice and welcoming, and so were all the staff. Sylvie gave great restaurant recommendations, which were all spot on. Breakfast was delicious and service generally very good. The rooms were simple, clean, and comfortable. Sleep quality was a bit of an... More

This is an extremely charming and romantic riad with beautifully done decor throughout--from the lobby, to the rooms, to the terrace. Our room was generous and comfortable and the bathroom was perfectly done down to the smallest details-- such as a copper sink and Moroccan tile shower. The staff are extremely warm and generous and the breakfasts and dinners are... More

We have found the Riad to have some very strong points. The table d'hotes is very good. The girls in the kitchen are doing a faboulous job and they really fill the Riad with the best of smells. This might be one of the best eating places in town, no doubt. The owners can be asked any question and also... More

The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The Riad itself is gorgeous and traditional, our room was light and airy and the terrace is a gorgeous place to sit and read. An amazing must-see Riad!

We stayed in Riad Malaika for 2 nights and overall my impression was that it was just OK. I probably would not recommend this place, nor would I stay there again with the abundance of other accommodations available in Essaouira. We got off on a bit of a bad foot with this place. We arrived by CTM bus and took... More
