They welcome us well, the price was reasonable, they serve good and satisfying breakfast.. Rooms are comfortable, just a few problems in the bath room but not as a big problem.. A good choice to stay in Essaoria if you want to stay in a Hotel..

I stayed for one night on a day trip to Essaouira. It is the second time I have stayed here after a day trip as the prices are very reasonable. I love how the hotel has been decorated and the furniture they use - tiles and beautifully carved wood. It appears that it has been decorated with love. The rooms... More

The Orson Welles is located on a rather anonymous avenue in Essaouira's new town, not the medina. Even so, parking is easy and free, and it's only a short walk to the beach. The hotel looks as if someone has put their heart and soul into the decor; my spacious room had a traditional tiled floor, tadelkt bathroom, and beautiful... More

I stayed at the Hotel Orson Wells for 9days and nights in lovely Essaouria, Morocco. I arrived a day early and they were flexible and honest to accomodate me earlier at the same price as my booked time there. I had a lovely large room with lovely artwork throughout hotel. The staff spoke terrific English, always warm and friendly, got whatever... More

Just back from staying in the suite at the Orson Welles. There was plenty of space, even with our double and the two fold-up beds for the kids. The room was absolutely spotless, it's true that it's very dim, but we opened the windows and balcony doors to light it up a bit. The shower took 5-10 minutes to heat... More

alright, here you go ... we got to the hotel about 02:00am, the bloke that opened the door for us was polite but that's where the niceties end, He took us to our room upstairs (no lift so if you're like me with heart/breathing problems forget it) . He took us to a 'room', opened it, and there you go,... More

Don't bother with this hotel: I spent 3 nights there this week, and will never go back. The service was poor, not once in my stay did housekeeping enter my room to replace towels, empty the trash, replace toiletries or even make my bed. The hotel staff was not usually available; the several times I went to the front desk... More

The staff are very friendly, but don't expect too much help. We stayed there and had to change rooms three times. In the first room, the shower flooded the entire bathroom. Although there was a hairdryer in this room, there was no balcony or separate seating area as described. We changed to a room with a balcony which didn't have... More

There are many cheaper hotels in medina. And it makes this hotel not very attractive. Looks like it has no clients for some time when we arrive, so roooms without good ventilation had a specific smell. Wide rooms, short distance to the beach are advantages of this hotel.

A hotel of charm and beauty furnished with local produce.Absolutely friendly & welcoming staff. Continental breakfast served in the quaint café.The restaurant was not open during my stay so cannot comment.Lovely garden on the rooftop carefullly looked after by a very nice lady. The hotel is situated on a busy main road about 20 minutes walk from the town centre... More
