The riad has a central location in the medina and easy to locate. The courtyard was beautiful, though a little tight if you are moving around in your backpack. The riad is a good escape from the dust and hustle of Essauira. It has a beautiful terrace and a splendid interior. The most fantastic riad with out-standing service from the staff. We were met with hospitality and warmth. Rooms are both spacious and charming. Nice and clean. Breakfast was more than we could expect with pancakes, toast, cafe au lait, moroccan tea and fresh orange juice. Location is perfect right in the middle of the medina. I was travelling with two disabled people, and after booking with the "Beau Rivage" and promised ground floor rooms, we arrived only to find the reception is actually on the second floor..and too, were the rooms..so a no go. Located in the heart of the traffic free medina down a narrow passage is this beautiful traditional riad. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Breakfast is just ok but could be improved. Nothing too much trouble for lady on reception. more
