We stayed at this riad for 2 nights October 2014, loved the hotel, staff and owners. It's an oasis of tranquility in a bustling local moroccan town. Nestled in the medina of El Jadida within short walking distance of the Portuguese city, it has a lovely roof terrace where you can enjoy and bottle of wine and the sunset. The... More

Although a touch more expensive than other places the imaginative surroundings, great furnishings and spaciousness (despite its relatively small size) make this a place worth staying at. The entire establishment is decorated and furnished in impeccable style. There is a lovely roof terrace, with loungers. The breakfast was equally creative and served in/on unusual crockery. A very nice place for... More

The Riad was great and they are all very friendly. The breakfast in the morning is immense so that you will get full. We had the room in the third floor next to the laundry, so you hear the washing machine all the time. All rooms have their windows to the yard, which could be annoying when somebody passing your... Lovely room with trendy decor, luxe toiletries and fluffy bathrobes. The staff were super helpful, from the ladies in the kitchen, the owner Olivier (who came and met me when i was lost in town) to the young porter who helped park my car and walked me to the medina. The breakfast was yummy and abundant. I wholeheartedly recommend!

My husband and I loved this beautiful riad! You don't really know what to expect as you are opening its door but once in, Dominic's warmth and generosity makes you feel at home. We had a memorable home made Moroccan dinner and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts. The riad is cozy, very traditional and we were impressed by the customer service... More

Staying at this riad was a superb experience. As soon as we entered its doors, we were transported to a small paradise. Beautiful building, our room was tastefully decorated with all the possible comforts, a large bathroom...a real haven. We decided to eat one dinner at the riad's restaurant; we ended up eating there both nights. Delicious, great service, we... More

We made a last minute visit to El Jadida at the end of our 2 weeks in Morocco and were overwhelmed at the beauty that met us when the door of the riad was opened. The pristine garden, the brilliant red room and the expansive view on the roof with incredible seating areas comprised the perfect setting. The attentive staff... More

This is my eleventh and final review of Morroco, following Essaouira. Stayed here on 5th May, 2014. When I made this reservation, I thought I booked a hotel inside the Cité Portuguese that is our reason to stay here on our last night in Morocco instead of Casablanca; I was wrong. It is the end unit of a dead-end alley... More

It was my first visit to Africa and I was so speechless when I saw this place, Riad Soleil d'Orient. Entering a "mud house" (I call it ) you'll be astonished that there's a beautiful garden and hotel inside it ("mud house") with mixed Morocan and French beautifully furnished room, fantastic foods and very friendly staffs. Wifi is so reliable... More
