Our stay at Kandooma was truly perfect from A to Z! Once we arrived to the island we were welcomed by the staff with a refreshing lime and ginger complimentary drink. The first thing i noticed after a comfortable 40-45minutes boat ride is the lack of fishes at the jetty, I've been to 4 other maldivian resorts before and have always found the jetty to be a place where you find plenty of fishes. I feel I have to speak a bit about the bad reviews I've seen - After researching on Kandooma and the island itself I found out that they were severely affected by the tsunami so I knew what I could count with before going there. I agree with all previous comments on Kandooma, especialy the food. The Buffet is great but sometimes too much emphasis on eastern style dishes, currys etc. and not enough Mediteranean or just basic plain cooked food.
