We stayed at the vilu reef and spa resort for 3 weeks from the back end of August to September 2008 and i can say we had an excellent 3 weeks in paradise. I honestly cannot understand why anyone would wriet anything bad about the resort. We booked with Thomas Cooks and stayed all inclusive all 3 weeks in a... more

How anyone can complain about any aspect of this resort completely amazes us?!!! We stayed here for our honeymoon and found the whole experience unbelievable. The staff could not do enough for you and were friendly and efficient at all times - even inviting us to join them to play volleyball in the staff quarters. Especially Ahmed in the pool... more

Villue Reef is an excellent hotel, the accommodation was first class the food marvelous, every day with a large variety . Special Maldivian dinner having candlelight tables on the beach was a memorable occasion. The staff helpful and friendly. However the snorkling was a dissapointment as all the coral is dead and the water not always clean. The fish life... more

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at Vilu Reef as part of our honeymoon. We loved every minute! We had originally booked at beach villa but upgraded to a water villa after one night. It is much cheaper to do it this way rather than book the upgrade through your agent. The beach villa was ok, just... more

There literally was nothing that we could find to complain about our stay. We stayed in a beach villa and had read the horror stories about the outdoor bathrooms. They were heavily exaggerated! You see a few ants, but they don't bother you, and as for the gecko's, they are scared to death at the sight of a human, and... more

Visited the Vilu Reef Beach and spa resort a couple of weeks ago and found it fantastic! Long trip from Ireland but well worth it! I wouls definately recommend a 10 night stay at minimum because of the journey but you definitely would have to be content with lazy days and sun worshipping to stay longer as the islands are... more

This island is out of this world. The food served 4 times a day offers so many different dishes that unless your used to living on fast food like some other visitors to this island seem to do then there is something there for every one (those who appreciate good food). Staff were so friendly and helpful and would do anything... more

We stayed in Vilu reef the first ten days of May, splitting our holiday as follows: 5 nights in a beach villa and 4 nights in a water villa. The holiday was fantastic and was up to our expectations. We had read the reviews before hand relating to the accommodation and would strongly advise those who booked a beach villa... more
