I don't even know where to start... We booked Maayafushi for our honeymoon, now we need another trip away to really say we've had a honeymoon. Arrival: We arrived to the island by a sea plane and were greeted by a member of the animation team! Let's remember, this is a 4 star hotel... We were taken to the reception... More

For our third visit to the Maldives we picked Maayafushi, a beautiful small island We arrived on the island by the sea plane and immediately welcomed by the staff with a refreshing fruit cocktail: check in at the reception was a little bit slow as our plane and the speed boat arrived at the same time so we had to... Beautiful small Island - clean, warm, clear sea. Fabulous coral reef an easy 50m swim/paddle with great reef fish. Great food - great staff - comfortable (beach) room with a small terrace onto an immaculate white coral sandy beach. Very relaxed - shoes not required - but with all mod cons. - good A/C (needed at night) large smart bathroom... More

We stayed here mid February 2012, for a week - arriving on a Sunday mid morning and leaving on the following Saturday afternoon We had an amazing stay! This was our second visit to the Maldives, having stayed at Vilamendhoo 10 years ago. Although Maayafushi is small, there was plenty to do - snorkelling, diving, volleyball and beach tennis, kayaks,... More

Don't listen to the bad reviews, this is a wonderful island for relaxing and for enjoying the wonderful sea full of life. You will be amazed by the sea life, plenty of lively and colorful fishes swimming around the coral reef. The rooms are cleaned TWICE a day! The food for breakfast is various and fresh. Food for lunch and... More

This was a week of absolute paradise..until...It's a great location with gentle lapping waves on the shore, clean (if rather small) beach villa room, our outdoor bathroom even had a palm tree growing in it! Hot running water was short-lived. Food became boring and samey after a few days as it was a repetitive buffet... breakfast was not worth getting... More

The island is beautiful with several nice beaches, the rooms (we had a beach bungalow) are very nice decent size with outdoor shower. It is a good hotel but could with a bit more work be even better. Where the hotel could improve compared to other islands is front desk service where sometimes the staff had an almost total lack... More

Just got back from a 10 day break at Maayafushi Island Resort. We were the only other English couple staying on the Island - the majority of guests were Italian and some Swiss and French too. We felt this was an advantage as we like meeting people from other parts of the world. Everyone was great. The guests were a... More

This was our 30th wedding anniversary and what a great place to spend it. We were one of the few aussie's that go there. I don't know why they don't. It is truly a lovely place. There wasn't many English speaking people when we were there but it wasn't a problem. We were involved in everything. The staff go out... More

We were there for our honeymoon, stayed in one of the bunglows by the beach. Beautiful water and the view was spectacular. The food was ok but the staff was very friendly. I recommend the spa, It was one of the best massages I ever had. It becomes very quite at night. I wish there was more entertainment.
